La docente muestra una tarjeta de invitacin y solicita a los estudiantes comentar qu tipo de informacin
contiene.
La docente lee la informacin de la tarjeta de invitacin y hace nfasis en la fecha, la hora y el lugar de
la invitacin. Presenta las preposiciones in on - at y sus diferentes funciones.
La docente explica que la preposicin on se coloca delante de los das de la semana y delante de los
meses con fechas; la preposicin at, delante de las horas, tal como aparece en la tarjeta de invitacin,
y hace lo propio con la preposicin in.
La docente solicita a los estudiantes que elaboren ejemplos de oraciones utilizando las preposiciones
in, on y at.

English Vocabulary
Cardinal Numbers - 1 (one), 2 (two) etc. (Used mainly for counting)
Ordinal Numbers - 1st (first), 2nd (second) etc. (Used mainly for putting
things in a sequence)

Ask questions 5 students in your class when their


birthdays fall. Each student should tell you the exact day
and month of their birthday as in the following example.

Ordinal Numbers
You can normally create Ordinal numbers by adding -TH to the end of a
Cardinal Number.
Ordinal numbers are normally used when you:

Give a date: My birthday is on the 27th of January. (Twentyseventh of January)


Put things in a sequence or order: Liverpool came second in the
football league last year.
Give the floor of a building: His office is on the tenth floor.
