The NEBOSH Award in Health & Safety at Work
The NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work qualification provides a basic
understanding of health and safety principles and practices in the workplace. This
qualification provides a perfect introduction to other NEBOSH qualifications including
NEBOSHs International General Certificates .

Who should study NEBOSH Award in Health & Safety at Work Level 2?
This qualification is aimed at supervisors and team leaders who are interested in learning
more about health and safety and who have not received any official health & safety
training previously. The typical people who would benefit from this qualification include:

Assessment
The assessment method for this qualification will be as follows:
Unit HSW1 Short, multiple-choice exam
Unit HSW2 - Workplace based practical application
Participants who successfully complete the assessments will be awarded the
NEBOSH Award Level 2 Health & Safety at Work by (National Examination Board in
Occupational Safety & Health), United Kingdom.

Progression
On achieving this qualification candidate may progress onto the NEBOSH International
General Certificate Level 3.
