Mid Term: Presentation on similarities and contrast between two companies
Objectives:
To make Ss able to understand and address the similarities and differences between two
organizations
To enhance analytical skills
To enhance Ss presentation skills
Step 1
Introduction, Icebreaking and open discussion on the content
Time: 10 minutes
T greets the Ss. Makes a review of the contents covered in the last class (Preparing persuasive
speech for selling a product or service). Elicits ideas/ answers from the Ss. T calls out names
and takes the attendance. T also announces the mid term marks to the Ss.
T clearly briefs Ss about the presentation that they are going to deliver on finding similarities and
differences between two organizations. T will call each group to come forward and start
presentation one after one. Groups will be chosen based on lottery.
Step 2
Group Presentation:
Time: 135 minutes:
Five groups will deliver their presentation on the differences and similarities on the following
areas:

Features of product or service


Customer service
HR policy
CSR Policy
Compliance issues
Facilities and benefits
Any other interesting area

Students will choose one local and one international or multinational company to find out the
differences and similarities between these two companies. Companies may be the following:

The remaining Ss will note down the strengths and areas to improve for giving feedback later.

General instructions
Wear formal attire
No jeans, fatua, sandal shoes for male presenters
No jeans, fatua and heavy make-up and heavy jewelries for the female presenters
Each person will speak at least 08 minutes
50 % speakers will speak on the first day
Rest of the 50 % speakers will speak on the second day
Presenters will be chosen based on lottery
Step 5
Formal closure of the class
Time: 05 minutes
T reinforces by asking one student to come forward and summarize the objective(s) of the lesson.
With a thanking note of the Teacher, the class ends.
