Goals/Objectives/Standards: To make students aware of some simple Turkish words
To make students use some simple greeting phrases of Turkish.

Assessment
The lesson started with a general introduction of
myself and my country (Netherlands).
I asked what they already knew about the country.

The Lesson Structure: Activities

General introduction
- Name + country (Turkeys powerpoint

presentation in attachment)
O Introduction of simple Turkish greeting
phrases
O Comparison between Turkish and English
greeting phrases
O Making students use the Turkish phrases in
their short dialogues
O Pair work
Closing/Assessment
At the end of the lesson, the students prepared short
dialogues in which they had a chance to use Turkish
phrases to introduce themselves.

Self Evaluation of the Lesson


The class was perfect; because the students were very eager to learn and practice Turkish.
On the other part, it was very fulfilling for me.

To teach the students ancient history and remains of Troy.
