IF WE ARE NOT VESTED WITH OUR WEDDING GARMENT, DUE TO OUR OWN EGOCENTRIC,
SELFISH AND ARROGANT DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD AND HIS HOLY CHURCH, WE WILL
ULTIMATELY BE BOUND HAND AND FOOT AND CAST INTO OUTER DARKNESS, which is
rife with infinite, bitter ...weeping and gnashing of teeth!
...many are Called, but few are Chosen! OUR BENEVOLENT AND LOVING
GOD DESIRES TO HAVE ALL HIS INTELLECTUAL BEINGS WITH HIM BOTH THE
ANGELIC HOSTS AS WELL AS ALL MANKIND.
However, HE WANTS US TO BE WITH HIM THROUGH OUR OWN EFFORTS AND DESIRE
never because He has forced us, for Love Agape cannot be forced on
anyone.
We are not enslaved by God WE ARE SET FREE BY GOD! HE CREATED US WITH FREE
WILL TO CHOSE FOR OURSELVES.
Consequently, UNLESS WE ARE ENLIGHTENED AND FILLED WITH LOVE FOR GOD AND
EACH OTHER, WE CANNOT EXPECT TO BECOME HIS CHOSEN, SINCE HIS KINGDOM IS A
PERMANENT STATE OF AGAPE Unconditional, Divine Love that supersedes
any human concept of Love.
Therefore, although all mankind has been Called by God, very few are
actually Chosen!

The Miracle of Archangel Michael at Colossae

Near Hierapolis, in Phrygia, there was a place called Colossae or Chonae
(meaning plunging'), and in that place there was a Miracle Working
Spring.
When St John the Theologian and Beloved Apostle of Christ - accompanied
by St Philip - preached the Holy Gospel in Hierapolis, he looked upon
that place and prophesied that a Miraculous Spring would open up
there, from which many would receive Healing, and that the great Holy
Archangel of God, St Michael, would visit that place.
Soon afterward, this Prophecy was fulfilled when a spring of fresh water
burst forth and became widely known for its Miraculous Healing Power.
A pagan in Laodicea had a daughter who was mute, which caused him
great sorrow.
Archangel Michael appeared to him in a dream, and told him to take his
daughter to the spring, where she would be cured.
The father immediately obeyed, took his daughter to the spring, and found
many people there, also seeking Divine Deliverance from various
infirmities.
These people were all Christians.
The father of the mute girl enquired how to seek her Healing, and the
Christians told him: You must pray to the Archangel Michael, in the
Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.''
The father prayed as instructed and gave his daughter a drink from the
Miracle Working Spring, and the girl immediately began to speak!
The pagan father, his daughter and his whole family and household
joyfully received Holy Baptism and in an expression of his intense
Gratitude to Almighty God, he had a church constructed over the
Miracle Working Spring dedicated to the Archangel of God, St Michael.
Later, a young man named Archippos settled there and lived a life of
austerity, in Fasting and Prayer.
However, the pagans did many malicious things to St Archippos, for they
did not like the fact that this Holy Site of the Christians emanated such
great Miraculous Spiritual Power and attracted so many Pilgrims to it.
In their wickedness, they rerouted the nearest river in order to flood the
church and the spring.
By the Fervent Prayers of St Archippos, the Holy Archangel of God, St
Michael, opened a fissure in the rock beside the church, and the river's
water plunged into it, which saved the Holy Site and caused it to be
called Chonae.
St Archippos continued to Labour in Holy Asceticism until the age of seventy,
when he peacefully Reposed in our Lord.

Like the preceding Parables, this Parable also proclaims THE TRANSFER OF THE
KINGDOM OF GOD FROM THE FAITHLESS HEBREWS TO THE GENTILES.
The setting is a Joyful Wedding Banquet, which is A REFERENCE TO CHRIST AS
BEING THE BRIDEGROOM AND HIS HOLY CHURCH, HIS BRIDE.
St Paul also used the analogy of the Kingdom of God being like a Marriage,
in his Epistle to the Ephesians (Ephesians 5: 21-33)
The repeated sending our of Gods Servants, emphasises OUR HEAVENLY
FATHERS GREAT DESIRE TO HAVE ALL HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE WITH HIM IN HIS
KINGDOM.
The first group of invited guests is a reference to ST MOSES, THE ANCIENT
PATRIARCH AND DIVINE LAW RECEIVER, AND THOSE WHO WERE CALLED BY HIM,
while the second group refers to THE HOLY PROPHETS OF GOD AND THOSE
WHOM THEY CALLED AND GUIDED ACCORDING TO DIVINE WILL and these
were ALTOGETHER THE FIRST ISRAEL THE FIRST CHOSEN PEOPLE OF ALMIGHTY
GOD.
The third group refers to THE HOLY APOSTLES OF CHRIST WHO FIRST CALLED THE
LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, AND THEN THE GENTILES those who
were not initially invited but who are now Called Divinely Invited to
partake of all the Good Things of Gods Heavenly Kingdom.
THE OXEN REPRESENT THE OLD COVENANT BLOOD SACRIFICES for the sins of the
High Priest and all the Hebrew Nation, which had to be repeated on
only one day of the year.
THE FATTED CALVES REPRESENT THE BLOODLESS SACRIFICE OF THE EUCHARISTIC
OFFERINGS OF THE NEW COVENANT, which are constantly repeated in
gratitude for the Forgiveness of our Repented sins and thus for our
Eternal Salvation. (The fatted calves had been wheat-fed or literally
translated: formed from wheat.
Consequently, BOTH THE OLD AND THE NEW COVENANTS ARE FULFILLED AT THE
MARRIAGE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE DIVINE BRIDEGROOM, AND HIS HOLY
CHURCH, HIS BRIDE.
BURN THEIR CITY according to St John Chrysostom, IS CHRISTS PROPHESY OF
THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM BY THE ROMANS, WHICH OCCURRED IN THE
YEAR 70, thereby attributing that destruction to the Will of God rather
than simply due to the will of mankind.
THE GREAT MERCY AND PATIENCE OF ALMIGHTY GOD IS EVIDENT DUE TO THE 40 YEAR
PERIOD from the time of Christ, WHICH GAVE AN ENTIRE HEBREW GENERATION
TIME TO REPENT AND RETURN TO THE WILL AND SERVICE OF GOD.
THE WEDDING GARMENT IS PROVIDED TO ALL INVITED GUESTS BY THE HEAVENLY
KING.
THE MAN HAD NO EXCUSE for not wearing his Wedding Garment, which left him
speechless.
HIS REFUSAL TO WEAR THE WEDDING GARMENT THAT WAS PROVIDED FOR HIM BY THE
KING ILLUSTRATES THOSE WHO REFUSE GODS GREAT LOVE, MERCY AND HOSPITALITY
i.e. those who expect to enter His Divine Kingdom on their own terms!

 Specifically,

THE WEDDING GARMENT REFERS TO OUR BAPTISMAL ROBE, AND BY

EXTENSION, OUR LIFE IN CHRIST our Faith, Humility, Obedience, Love,

ceaseless Repentance and all the other Virtues that are essential to
our Relationship with God and with each other.

and Saviour, Jesus Christ, beginning with our Holy Baptism when we are
Anointed and our Holy Chrismation when we are Sealed with the Seal of the

The real reason for St Pauls change in his itinerary was Graciousness, for it was in
order to spare the Corinthians and St Paul from a painful confrontation.
The Purpose of Discipline in the Holy Church of Christ is never for the Priest or

The Word, Who with the Father and the

Spirit has no beginning, and Who,
for our Salvation, was born of a
Virgin, let us faithful believers hymn
and adore. For it was His Good
Pleasure to ascend the Cross in the
Flesh, and to Suffer Death, and
through
His
own
Glorious
Resurrection to raise the dead.
