Now this is a present for fans who like old versions of MS Windows.
You can Run them on the Wii!

An SD Card at least 1 or 2 GB. An SDHC will not work.

A Wii with System Menu 4.3 with A Homebrew Channel.

DOSBox Wii.

MS Windows files (from Windows 2.03 or Windows 3.1, etc). It cannot be newer versions of
windows like Windows ME. Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1.
(To get it you Need to install a VM on VirtualBox and you'll need a Program like PowerISO or
WinImage to extract it to get MS Windows' files)

How to Do it.
Step 1: Download DOSBox Wii from the Following at the Requirements Section of this thread and
extract it onto your SD Card.

Step 2: Put ALL of MS Windowss files (Only MSDOS Versions of MS Windows will work for this
method) onto the DOSBox folder on the Root of your SD Card. For Example in the Tutorial, Im
using MS Windows 2.03.

Step 3: Go to your Nintendo Wii and open the Homebrew Channel. Locate DOSBox Wii and load it.
Press the Home button on the Wii Remote, and click Keyboard (or you can plug in a USB Keyboard

in your Wii so you can type the commands in). Now depending on how familiar you are with the
windows command prompt/etc. you may know this feature.

Then this should appear:

And then It should start booting up MS Windows without any problems.

NOTE: Some versions of MS Windows like Windows 2.03 could have conflicts starting up with
the MSDOS Version that DOSBox wii emulates.

If the MS Windows is in a .img file (like Windows 98 and Windows 95), put the .img file in the
DOSBox directory on the Root of the SD Card.

Because Some Windows Fanboys may want to run Windows on the Wii. Also, you can run Windows
Applications to do work and play certain 16bit games/etc.

Plus, Windows XP doesn't work/fit in an .img file and Takes up too much damn space on the SD
Card when putting the contents of it. And DOSBox Wii uses 64 MB of RAM that is only compatible
for older versions of windows. Windows XP uses a little more than that, like 300 MB so It'll crash
once you try to run it in DOSBox Wii.
Plus, Idiot, Have you ever tried insterting a USB Keyboard or Mouse into it?

You can insert a USB Keyboard and Mouse in the Wii if you can do work/fun stuff with it (others
who ran Windows on the Wii did used USB Keybooards/mouse with it and it works as they say)
instead of fumbling around with the WiiMote and the Internal Keyboard to work with the OS.
Also you're right, you do have to install the Windows OS via a VM. Also You'll need to get an Image
editor like WinImage or PowerISO 5.7. to open the HDD Image (like a VHD, VDI, VMDK, etc) and
extract the files from it.
