APPLICANTS: Must be (1) a member of an OGA Mem-
ber Club or an Associate Club with paid 2010 dues, (2)
Determined by exemptions listed elsewhere in this applica-
tion; or (3) Non members of OGA clubs may enter using
entry form on page 3. All entrants must have a 5.6 handi-
cap index or better. Handicap must be through a USGA
licensed golf club. A list can be found at www.usga.org.
SECTIONAL QUALIFIERS: A contestant, not exempt,
(exempt list is on page one) may compete at designated
courses and dates over 18 holes. The county in which a
contestant's club is located determines the section where
he should qualify. Non members of OGA Clubs should
choose a first and a second qualifying location, in case of
full fields. Entrant does not have to enter qualifying in his
home section.
ENTRY PROCEDURE: Contestants, including exempt play-
ers, shall apply on official OGA entry blanks, available at
OGA Clubs, from OGA or from Board Members in charge
of sectional qualifiers. Entry fee refund available only for
medical reasons after deadline date, May 13, 2010, 4
p.m. Late or incomplete applications not accepted. No
telephone or fax entries. On-line entry is available at
OHIOGOLF.ORG.
REGISTRATION: All qualifiers are required to register at
Kirtland CC, Monday, July 12. A player may call the
OGA to pre-register, if he is unable to get to Kirtland CC
on Monday. If a player fails to register, his spot will be
given to an alternate. Club may allow alternate practice
times, but will charge appropriate fees.
PRACTICE ROUND: Monday. NO PRE-ARRANGED PRAC-
TICE ROUNDS. You must report to the first tee to arrange
practice round. FIRST TEE CLOSES AT 3:00 p.m. Players
are advised to come early. No exceptions. Players who
violate this or any OGA Rule will be immediately disquali-
fied.
CADDIES: Contestants may carry their own bag. The
following constitutes a condition of the competition. Ap-
pendix 1, “restriction on who may serve as a caddie” is in
effect. “A player is prohibited from having a parent, guard-
ian or another player in the same competition serve as his
caddie during the stipulated round.”
PAIRINGS: Pairings will be mailed to all contestants. All
entries shall be deemed to be by invitation and are subject
to OGA Board acceptance.
LUNCH: Free Buffet Lunch Tuesday and Wednesday for
contestants.
