They are both the same.
You are going to have a hard time finding the Denso. Denso do
cost less. I know Sparkplugs.com has them but I'm not Going
to pay $12 to ship a few plugs. I bought the NGK local for less.

As I'm sure you already know, only run the NGK or Denso
dual electrode.

What about the Denso iridium plugs?

That is what I was going to use when I do mine in the next
few weeks.
Also what is the best place to buy the plug wires?

On a related note, do you guys replace with OEM Toyota wires,

or run something else?

The factory wires were Sumitomo's which are not available
here as far as I know. Dealers sell Denso's. I use the NGK

and i remember they needed to be dual ground tips cause of

the extra spark that happens.. something along those lines..
i mean why wouldnt we use the NGKs when they are made
SPECIFIC for our 5vz motors and no other motor?

Just did NGK last weekend with great results. I notice a huge
difference. Got all on rockauto.com and saved big.

So yeah, to elaborate a little more, we have one coil for 2
plugs (3 coils total). The coil fires twice as often, once for
compression cycle on one plug then again for compression
cycle on the other plug. Therefore, your plugs get sparked
twice as often as a normal single-tipped plug and will wear out
twice as fast, except for the fact that our plugs have TWO
TIPS! Voila!
If you want to put in a single-tip plug, go ahead... It will work
fine... For half as long as it's supposed to...

No reason why it shouldn't work. Here's a post that justifies
using platinum:
