The Mythology of Quantum Healing

Several of my therapist friends have taken
several seminars from Dr. Richard Bartlett1
dealing with the theory of quantum healing
through shifts in consciousness and morphic
fields. Bartlett has taken what he calls the
mythology of quantum physics and
incorporated it into a field of quantum
healing using consciousness technologies.
In other words, complete healing takes place
in the form of a 21rst century shaman who
uses the modern archetypes of quantum
physics in a new way. Bartlett calls his
process Matrix Energetics.2
In a sense Bartlett is
right. Physicists have
created a whole world
of imaginary objects
and behaviors at the
sub-atomic level of
existence.
Thus,
quantum physics is a
good story told to us
by the modern day
high priests of our
culture; the scientists. They even wear the
white robes or lab coats simulating priestly
garb.

Bartlett has a talent for capturing the
difficult concepts of quantum physics and
simplifying them for public consumption in
pithy little sayings. In this newsletter I will

use them to communicate Bartletts unique
message.
The Measurement Problem
Therefore, in an act of observation, a
quantum measurement, consciousness not
only collapses the possibility wave or the
object, but also the possibility of the brain.3
With this statement Bartlett is saying that
not only our bodies and the universe are the
result of conscious observation, but so is our
brain. Just by observing, we co-create reality
through consciousness. Therefore, change
your consciousness, change your reality.
Why then, do things appear not to change
and continue to travel in a steady
progression of past, present, and future? It is
because of our conditioned brains.
Quantum Reality
Our brains reconstruct those patterns of
energy, and re-assemble them into pictures
and sensations in effect providing for us the
images and experiences that we expect to
see and to encounter out there.4
Bartlett believes that we are conditioned by
our past experiences to experience the same
stimuli in the same way as in the past. This
biases the possibilities toward repeating
passed experiences rather than generating
new ones. Even our physical brain takes on
more grooves and folds thus incasing us in
repetitive synaptic clusters. Therefore, when
we see a cue ball hitting the eight ball on the

pool table, we expect the eight ball to move

like it has always done so based on past
experience. Once these habits are formed,
we have conditioned a quantum memory.
We are in a sense imprisoned by our
quantum memory.
The universe is collapsing around us at too
many times a second to observe consciously.
Like a 35 millimeter film sending light
through each still frame at 30 frames per
second, we have the illusion that there is
movement on the movie screen. When in
reality, a series of still frames are moving
across the screen giving us the illusion of
movement, time, and change.
Bartlett believes that we can influence the
collapse locally and change our health, our
circumstances; the possibilities are endless.
But where are these circumstances stored?
Where is the cosmic memory?
Morphic Fields and Waves
Morphic fields are non-material regions of
influence, extending in space-time localized
around the systems which they organize. A
morphic field provides a means by which a
particular implicate pattern may unfold in
the material realm.5
Morphic fields are kind of like electromagnetic fields that contain patterns. These
patterns govern the entire universe and are
subject to human intention among other
forces. Thus, the shape of your personal
morphic field controls the shape of your
body. Bartlett teaches how to alter your
perception and consciousness causing the
morphic field to re-configure itself. Usually
this takes place instantly but it can also start
a process that we experience over time.

The Two Point Method

The points can be chosen randomly, it does
not matter; it just gives the left brain
something to do. Then were going to pick a
second point, here, because we got to find a
point that makes that point feel connected.6
Bartlett picks a point on the clients body,
let say a sore shoulder as point one. Then he
picks a second point randomly. He describes
this Two Point method as:
1. Locate a point which feels nonmobile, stuck or rigid.
2. Find a second point which accentuates
what you notice from the first point.
3. The awareness of these two points
allows for a measurement to be made.
4. The act of observing collapses the
waveform of the condition.
5. Notice what is now different.7
If done correctly point one and two merge
and become non-local and allow for the new
perception or measurement. The new
intention collapses a new wave and the
condition in the physical world changes.
Summary
Bartletts seminars look more like a
charismatic miracle service, with people
falling harmlessly to the ground when
receiving their treatments, then a seminar
about energy healing. None the less, he has
the endorsement of a famous physicist; Dr.
William A. Tiller. Tiller even wrote the
foreword in Bartletts book Matrix
Energetics.8
On the pro side, Bartletts out of the box
thinking has created a new way of looking at
the world and the mechanics behind its

creation and maintenance. He is a creative

thinker and a pioneer.

On the con side, Bartlett has no scientific

data to support or deny the efficacy of
Matrix Energetics. He only has anecdotal
evidence and no hard science. Back in the
1970s it was discovered that a great
percentage of people healed at charismatic
miracle services lost their healing in less
than a week. Of course the preachers blamed
them for losing faith and for losing their
healing.
I think that Bartlett is honing in on some
unique truths that need to be brought into the
daylight consciousness of objectivity.
However, like the cold fusion experiments
that can never be reproduced, I believe that
consciousness does control the universe, but
that we do not really know enough to fully
harness it. Just as we have not mastered cold
fusion energy, neither have we fully
understood that great divine consciousness,
in all of its modalities, which stands behind
all of creation. But just as the drop cannot
comprehend the ocean, it can however
reconnect with it. Someday, we will
reconnect with God and discover fire, for the
second time.
