TRIMBLE JUNO 5 SERIES

Enhanced GPS and RFID configurations now available
Trimble Juno 5 series handhelds combine must have functionality with the familiarity of
a smartphone form-factor. New configurations give customers even more choice and
flexibility.

Enhanced GPS 1 to 2 meter real-time configuration

An enhanced GPS version of the Trimble Juno 5 series handheld has been added to the
Geospatial distribution price book.
Using SBAS (WAAS/EGNOS) corrections the Juno 5 enhanced GPS variant achieves 1 to 2
meter real-time accuracy.
Note: Postprocessed accuracy specification for the enhanced GPS variant is 2 to 4 meters. Enhanced
1 to 2 meter accuracy is achieved in real time only when using SBAS (WAAS/EGNOS) corrections.

Ultra-high frequency RFID configuration

An ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID version of the Trimble Juno 5 series handheld has been
added to the Geospatial distribution price book.
With UHF RFID capability the Juno 5 series RFID variant will automatically recognize tags
across a variety of frequencies and work with any size or style of RFID tag that is designed
for customized solutions.
UHF RFID is an increasingly commonplace technology using the 860 to 960 MHz frequency
range. The Juno 5 RFID handheld is automatically configured and ready for use and is
certified as follows:

FCC Certified (North America): 902-928 MHz bands

ACMA Certified (AU/NZ): 920-926 MHz bands

More key features of the Juno 5 UHF RFID variant:

Rapid-read, high-accuracy performance on multiple tags with multiple orientations, even in crowded
conditions

Consistent read-range over 3.5 meters for 5 cm2 (2") UHF tags in unobstructed space

Integrated antenna with the ability to transmit up to +30 dBm (1 Watt) power for demanding applications

Software compatibility
The new Juno 5 series configurations are compatible with Trimble TerraSync, GPS Pathfinder Office, TerraFlex,
and custom applications built with a Mobile GIS Developer Community software development kit (SDK). Trimble
Positions will support the Juno 5 enhanced GPS series at the next release of Trimble Positions. Find full details of
