THE NEW GENERATION OF SILICATE TECHNOLOGY

Remmers Joint Filler SF 1 and Waterproofing Grout SD 1

A Revolutionary

Breakthrough
in
Silicate Technology!

After 16 years of the most intensive

laboratory research as well as numerous tests and field studies in practice,
Remmers has achieved an absolute
breakthrough in silicate technology.
For the very first time, thanks to
sophisticated silicate technology, it is
possible to develop products that are
extremely resistant yet easy to work
and also affordable.
The new silicate technology far surpasses all of the materials used so far
such as epoxy resins or cement mortars. Remmers has now redeveloped
two proved products using this revolutionary silicate technology. The results
gained in practice are overwhelming.
Remmers will use this enormous
advantage in the future as well and
bring further products based on this
new technology on the market.
Tomorrow's technology today!

REMMERS JOINT FILLER SF 1

Numerous application areas through a revolutionary silicate technology
Along with high mechanical loads
such as high pressure cleaning at
extremely high temperatures or abrasive grinding and shear loads, the
influence of aggressive chemical
loads from acids, lyes, oils, grease,
etc. is usually also present.
Especially in this combination, conventional joints just don't hold up
well. With SF 1, Remmers has developed a joint sealer that can be subjected to extreme loads. SF 1 can be
used without any problem in a multitude of applications. The joints are
easily filled without much expenditure
of energy and can be wiped off after
reacting with water for just a short
period, even without the use of a
cleaning agent. The sealing material
can also be worked as of temperatures of + 2 C.

MIXING RATIO

MIXING SF 1

JOINTING WITH SF 1

Remmers SF 1, which is packaged in 5 kg

units, is added to approx. 700 to 750 ml clean
water.

Remmers SF 1 is mixed with a mixer for

approx. 60 seconds. The mixture is allowed to
mature for approx. 4 minutes and is then
mixed again for approx. 60 seconds.

After any soiling has been removed from the

tiles with a slightly damp sponge float,
Remmers SF 1 can be easily filled (with
excess material) in the joint space, using a
float offered in the Remmers Tool Programme.

SURFACES WITH
FINISHED SF 1

After a reaction time of approx. 15 minutes,

Remmers SF 1 is slightly emulsified with water
first. This makes it easy to wash off the surface afterward.

After initial drying, the entire surface is cleaned again with clean, clear water.

Finished surfaces jointed with Remmers SF 1

can be used after just a short reaction time.

REMMERS WATERPROOFING GROUT SD 1

Versatile Application Possibilities through Perfect Silicate Technology
Particularly in industrial and agricultural areas, the properties that are
demanded for waterproofing and protective systems are actually irreconcilable: they should have the greatest
resistance to mechanical and chemical loads and also be able to withstand high temperatures.
In these cases, special materials,
often in multiple-component variations with difficult working properties,
were often applied by specially trained personnel from specialist firms.
With Remmers SD 1, a new era
begins in terms of application areas,
loading capacity and working properties.
SD 1, which is worked like a normal,
mineral waterproofing system, is easily applied to walls and floors in a
grouting and filling procedure.
Depending on load, differently thick
layers or several layers can be applied. After just a short setting period,
the building element is permanently
protected and perfectly waterproofed.

PRIMING WITH KIESOL

MIXING SD 1

Any soiling or material that could interfere with

adhesion should be removed using the Rotec
procedure or a grinding machine. Prime evenly with Kiesol and water (mixing ratio 1:1).

Remmers SD 1 is added to approx. 600 to

650 ml of clean water and mixed for approx. 60
seconds with a mixer. After it has matured for
approx. 4 minutes, mix SD 1 again for approx.
60 seconds.

SCRAPED STOPPER COAT WITH

SD 1
To ensure that all pores are closed, a scraped
stopper coat of Remmers SD 1 can be applied
within the reaction time of Kiesol, if necessary.

2 LAYER OF GROUT WITH SD 1

As an alternative to a scraped stopper coat,

the first layer of grout can be applied with a
grouting brush within the Kiesol reaction time.

A second layer of grout can be applied to the

first layer of grout, wet-on-wet.
