Servant Leader Covenant

Arcadia Christian Fellowship is distinct from all other extra-curricular clubs offered at Arcadia University
in that it is a ministry and not just a social club comprised of students sharing a common interest. The
objective of ACF, stated simply, is to provide an additional outlet beyond the local church for Arcadia
students to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to equip and mobilize them to reach the campus with
the love and gospel of Christ.
As a servant leader of ACF, I recognize that I will be under greater scrutiny by the participants of ACF
and the student body at large. In order to protect my personal testimony to others and example of Christ-
likeness, I covenant to the following:

Personal Disciplines
• I will make prayer and study a regular part of my walk with Christ.
• I choose to abstain from consuming alcohol until I’m 21 years old. Should I drink when I’m of
legal drinking age, I will do so in moderation (not to drunkenness) and in accordance with the
rules of Arcadia University.
• I choose to abstain from the use of tobacco products in order to further enhance my testimony
to others, even though my understanding of Scripture may or may not permit their use as part of
my Christian liberties.
• I will seek to demonstrate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self control in my interactions with others.
• I will seek and be available for accountability from my peers for any areas of my life that I
have not given to God. Accountability can help lead to repentance and can keep some areas of sin
(gossip, pornography, illegal downloads, dating a non-Christian, sexual sin, habitual lying,
cheating in class, etc.) from becoming a lifestyle.

Academic Faithfulness
• I will pursue excellence in my academics because my education is the principle reason I attend
Arcadia University.

Time Commitment
• I will participate in a regular small group study
• I will attend a majority of the large group fellowship meetings each semester.
• I will attend and participate in the ACF servant leadership team meetings.
• I will keep the ACF ministry, its members, and its goals as a matter of regular prayer.

I am agreeing to abide by these covenants and to be held accountable in each of these areas. Flagrant or
repeated disregard of these covenants may give cause for me to be excused from serving Arcadia
Christian Fellowship in a servant leadership capacity.
