Plot
In a port area near Ormoc, a cargo vessel carrying radioactive waste from a nuclear power plant sank due to strong winds and
heavy rains. This cargo vessels reportedly carried barrels of waste which were released into the ocean, thus making the water
radioactive. Almost all living creature in the ocean died. Soon thereafter, changes in the citys environment and surroundings were
noticed and felt by the people, particularly, Mr. Juan and Mrs. Dos. Worried about what the unknown waste was going to bring to
them, they ran to Mr. Mayor to talk about it with him. They shared to him what they saw and felt. Upon hearing this, Mr. Mayor
called the proper authorities to take action and while waiting for them, he gathered all its constituents to the town hall and asked them
to pray that a solution will come.
The following day, while Mr. Juan and Mrs. Dos were observing the surroundings, another strange occurrence happened; they
saw a book falling from the sky. It was The Book of Answers. Picking it up, they hurriedly brought it to Mr. Mayor. As they
opened the book, they all got confused as there was nothing written on it except for the last page. From the last page, they figured out
that every time you write a question, the book will reply with an answer. Thus, they used this book to find out what is happening in
their surroundings and discovered the best possible way to approach this.

PREQUEL QUESTIONS
What caused the formation of foul odor in the port?
ANSWERS
The foul odor is caused by the dead fishes and decay of the
sea creatures in the ocean. The living things found in the
sea have began to rot and decompose, hence the stinky
smell.
How is food poisoning different from radiation poisoning? Which Food poisoning is a sickness caused by contaminated food
and drinks that a person ingests. These spoiled foods often
causes which?
have bacteria, virus, parasites and even chemical toxins
which triggers the poisoning.

IDENTIFIED PROBLEM
There are containers of nuclear waste and radioactive barrels that
sunk deep into the ocean which made the water radioactive, thus
killing fishes and other sea creatures.
SOLUTION PROPOSAL
To stop this, we must properly collect and dispose of these
radioactive wastes by transferring it to a different area
isolated from humans. They must call the government or
those who are in charge of that containment ship to
properly remove and dispose the wastes from the sea.
Due to the radiation, fish death toll has been increasing
rapidly. As fishes die, they float. When they float to the
surface, the microorganisms start to rot. This decaying
smells bad. Hence, this should be cleaned and properly
collected as soon as possible to mitigate the odor.
Fish and other sea creatures that died and carries radiation
should not be eaten since you may become a victim of
radiation and food poisoning. In the same manner, they
lose their livelihood as they cannot catch and sell fish that
are contaminated and are already dead.
To prevent this from happening any further, the person in
authority must make sure that the transportation and
containment of radioactive material should be properly
secured, well-maintained and checked yearly for any
possible leaks or damages. Also, it should be dumped in
faraway places void of human communities. If these

There is a foul odor that is generated from the sinking of the ship.

Fishes and other sea creatures are rapidly dying due to the radiation
brought about the sinking of the ship that carries nuclear wastes.
So, people have nothing to eat and lose their livelihood as well.

There is the possibility that this accident will happen again in the
future. What do we do now?

conditions are not met for its safe transport and disposal,
the result would be catastrophic.
If the waste will not be completely removed, they have to
leave the village. Lessening the exposure of people by
getting away and increasing their distance from the source
of radiation will be better for them as the longer and nearer
a person is exposed to the infected zone, the more
hazardous and risky it becomes. EVACUATION IS THE
ONLY KEY FOR THEIR SURVIVAL.
The village will be inhabited again once all of the nuclear
waste has been properly eradicated but this will take
thousands of years if they are highly radioactive so the best
way is to make that place a dumpsite for radioactive wastes
instead.
