The cargo company in Malaysia ( named as MS Company). MS Company is engaged in


serving delivery of goods from Malaysia to Indonesia. It is operated and supported by
several sections involving the treasury, customer service, operation, administration,
marketing, human resource, warehouse and information technology divisions. These
various divisions have to work together collaboratively to produce a good business
processes. Business processes that are operating now in MS Company are less
impressive because it runs manually. Faced with the growth of business enterprises, MS
Company realizes that the companys business process needs an ERP.
Analyze how ERP benefits in improving the business process.

Xerox is one of three leading automotive manufacturing companies in the United


States. Non-Production Procurement (NPP), at Xerox, covers all purchases of
Supplies other than supplies used in the actual production of copying Machines.
Thus, all office supplies, from desks and personal computers to pencils and
stationary comes under the category of non-production procurement. In early 1994,
Xerox was spending about $4.3 billion dollars a year on NPP. Xerox realized that the
redesign of this process represented a major opportunity to save money.
Summarize the primary challenges of company need to consider across the [15]

Apples iPod, the portable digital player, was launched in October 2001. Apple
launched the iTunes music store from where users can download songs and transfer
them to their iPod. Subsequently, several new versions of the models were launched
and gradually, iPod became the market leader in the portable digital player industry.
However, several new players entered the market, making the competition more
intense. It was facing competition from Microsoft, Sony, and Nokia, who were
developing new devices with gaming, e-mail, and music video playing capabilities.
Amidst such competition, the development of new devices like the iTunes
compatible iPod, capable of downloading full-length movies in a wireless mode, is
seen as a natural product extension guiding Apples future.
Compare and contrast the new product development adopted by Apple with
existing life cycle model and identify the issues at each stage.
