RHP Tyler Wagner won the Southern
League's ERA title with a 2.25 clip
(152.1ip, 38er). He finished his season
with an 11-5 record and struck out 120
while walking 45 batters. His 2.25 ERA
led the Brewers system as well. He
finished tied for second in the league in
wins, second in WHIP (1.15), allowed
the second fewest baserunners per
9 innings (10.52) and had the fourth
lowest walks per 9 innings ratio (2.66).
Hip, Hip, Jorge!
RHP Jorge Ortega finished the season
with a 9-9 record and a 2.41 ERA. He
earned the Florida State League's ERA
title. In 22 games (20 starts) for the
Manatees this season, Ortega allowed
only 11 walks, while striking out 72
batters. He walked 2 batters in only two
starts this season and did not walk a
batter in his final 3 games with the team.

Season Complete - 62-81

The Sky Sox finished their first season as the Triple-A affiliate
of the Milwaukee Brewers. The team owned a 62-81 record and
finished in fourth place in the PCL American Northern Division. OF
Domingo Santana was named a Post-season All-Star after batting
.333/.426/.573 with 18 homers and 77 RBI in 95 games.

The Shuckers opened the playoffs with a 4-2 win over the Pensacola
Blue Wahoos last night. The Shuckers got on the board first thanks
to an RBI triple from SS Orlando Arica. RHP Jorge Lopez earned
the win after tossing 6.2 innings and allowing an unearned run on 2
hits with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts.
