Professional Experience
Qualcomm India, Pvt Ltd, R&D centre, Hyderabad Sep’ 07 – Present
Software Engineer, Data Stack Team.
Implemented and enhanced connectivity models to enable mobile handset to support IP based applications like
video telephony, QOS over CDMA network.

Projects undertaken:
• Open Market Handset (OMH): I added arbitration mechanism to share data connection among
multiple priority applications on mobile handset.
• QOS (Quality of service): Involved in debugging and enhancement activities to support resource
intensive applications like Video Telephony on CDMA–EVDO RevA/RevB network.
• E-HRPD (Evolved High Rate Packet Data):- I am involved in on effort to enable sharing of logical
channel between multiple IPV4/IPV6 data calls.

Academic Projects
• Title: Designed an “Automated Fuel Filling Station”, based on assembly programming. (Winter 2005)
Description: Designed a firmware based on 8085 microprocessor assembly, to control a fuel dispensing
motor and to interface it with “Level check circuitry” through 8255 programmable peripheral chip. The
project was submitted as part of Bachelors of Science Degree requirement, under the guidance of Dr. Amit
Garg (Associate Professor, University of Delhi).

• Title : Development of “Bio-Informatics toolkit for Genome Sequence alignment” (Summer 2006)
Description: Implemented sequence matching algorithm to identify region of similarity among thousands of
Genome sequences. Dynamic programming technique was applied via Longest Common subsequence (LCS)
algorithm, to achieve local alignment among genomic sequences. This was a senior project submitted
towards Master degree requirement, pursued under the guidance of Dr. Sanjeev Singh (IIC, University of
Delhi)

• Title: Developed software to simulate “SNMP (simple network management protocol)” (Winter 2007).
Description: - Simulated SNMP protocol to monitor and manage agent nodes (slaves), from a master
controller node. Through socket programming, I implemented network management operation like
configuring IP address remotely, network fault detection (un-reachable host), and updating routing table to
balance the network load.
