Health articles - Tuberculosis in Children

Tuberculosis is a disease that attacks the respiratory system. This disease can cause the sufferer
to experience a cough that does not go away. Coughing can also be accompanied by phlegm.
In children, they are very susceptible to contracting the disease if an adult is close to or around
them had been infected with the TB virus. Symptoms of TB disease in children are more difficult
to resolve, not all common symptoms of the disease is indicated by the child states that the child
tested positive for the disease. This is what makes a lot of children who develop TB virus is too
late to be handled.
Some common symptoms that indicated the child when the virus is high fever. Child has a high
fever and then recovers then fever again and again during the bear recovered again in a relatively
long period of time. Children also showed weight loss. Children would not eat at all, the
development and growth of children stunted or even not show progress. Children also develop a
cough for a period of more than three weeks old.
Another difference tuberculosis that infects the child is that the disease is not contagious to other
children, but arguably more terrifying. TB virus that attacks the children extremely vulnerable to
not only spread around the respiratory system of children. But also can affect the bones, eyes and
brain. If it is attacked on the brain, then the child may have disabilities, can't grow and develop
normally and find it difficult to talk.
Treatment of tuberculosis in children is similar to what is done to an adult. Children can be given
treatment within six months. Another thing that needs to be fixed is the environmental conditions
that exist around children, to be more hygienic and healthy for children.
