Countable Nouns

Any is used in negative statements and questions for both countable and
uncountable nouns.

Some is used in positive sentences.
Examples:

There are some biscuits in the tin.
Somecan be used in interrogative sentences when a positive answer is
expected or when it is an offer or a request.
