Trading of CNX Nifty futures on the Singapore stock


exchange indicates that the Nifty could fall 60 points at the
opening bell.
In overseas markets, Asian markets were trading lower
today, 21 September 2015. U.S. stocks declined on Friday,
18 September 2015, along with European counterparts as
traders digested the news that there was no news - or at
least no hike in interest rates. By the close the Dow Jones
had slumped 290 points to 16,385.
The S&P 500 lost 32 points to 1958, while the NASDAQ
dropped 67 points to 4827. After a two-day policy meeting,
the Fed decided the call would be 'hold' on rates, citing
concerns over the global economy, particularly Chinese
growth.
foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs
337.27 crore on Wednesday, 16 September 2015, as per
provisional data released by the stock exchanges.
Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth
a net Rs 423.81 crore on Wednesday, 16 September 2015,
as per the provisional data.
Banking, auto and IT stocks led gains for key benchmark
indices on Friday, 18 September 2015. The barometer
index, the S&P BSE Sensex, jumped 254.94 points or 0.98%
to settle at 26,218.91. The 50-unit CNX Nifty rose
82.75 points or 1.05% to settle at 7,981.90.
