YUE HING Y101 Fixed Type Fire Hose Reels are designed to enable an untrained person to fight fire
immediately when fire breaks out, with a powerful water jet or spray, under a continuous water supply.

OPERATION
The operation is so simple and reliable that even an unskilled person can operate when fire breaks out. The specially
designed beaded hose-guide (Y125A) enables the hose to be run out in all direction. A swing type hose-guide
(Y125B) is employed when the hose reel is installed in a recessed position.
Automatic operating hose reel is opened when only 1.5m (5 feet) of hose is pulled out.
For manual operating hose reel, a specially designed nozzle interlocking device can be incorporated onto the inlet
valve to make sure that the water supply is turned on before hose is pulled out to fight fire.

INSTALLATION
Very easy and simple installation procedures are employed.
The heavy-gauged wall-fixing plate and revolving drum give the reel excellent strength and durability in any
condition when filled with water.
When installed in a narrow wall opening where it is only possible to install the reel sideways, a specially designed
mounting stand can be supplied to allow for easier installation and maintenance in future. Pedestal stand is also
available at extra cost.
25mm or 20mm female BSP threaded water entry can be in top, bottom or side position.

TESTING & WORKING PRESSURE

All standard hose reels are tested completely and individually to 21 bar (300 psi) and are suitable for working
pressure up to 10.5 bar (150 psi); or 16 bar (232psi) maximum. Hose reels for higher working pressure can be
also supplied on request.

SPECIAL HOSE REELS

YUE HING design and produce a full range of hose reels which can suit various types of services, high working
pressure (up to 1500 psi) and extended coverage of hose capacity.

Side-plates

- Pressed mild steel strengthened by patterning, with fire red strove enamel finish; Alt. in
stainless steel and/or other color/materials.
Revolving drum
- Pressed mild steel with red strove enamel finish; Alt. in stainless steel or engineering
plastic. Light alloy drum is also available at extra cost.
Base-plate (wall-fixing plate) - Heavy-gauged mild steel with red strove enamel finish; Alt. in stainless steel.
Spindle (stem) & fittings
- Standard unit is in brass (wax-coated), but gunmetal spindle or cast iron spindle with
rust-proof coating can also be supplied; Alt. also available in engineering plastic.
Automatic valves
- All gunmetal construction with neoprene seals, very durable.
Hose-guides
- Y125A is in pressed steel with nylon rollers.
Y125B is in light alloy with nylon rollers.
(Other types of hose-guide available).
Nozzles
- Y115 can be in high impact A.B.S. or polished brass (to order only).
Y115B is in chrome-plated forged brass with a ball valve control.
Y115C Lever-Ball control plastic on/off jet nozzle.
Y232 is a 3-way, spray/jet/off, nozzle in tough nylon.
All nozzles are standard with 4.5mm or 6.4mm orifice.
(Other high performance nozzles are also available on request).
Inlet valves
- 25mm or 20mm i.d. in forged brass, B.S.I. kitemarked and approved by the H.K. Water
Services Department. Supplied on request.
Down pipes
- 25mm or 20mm i.d. medium grade to BS1387 galvanized. Supplied on request.
'O' ring seals
- High nitrite, oil-resisting high graded rubber.
Fire Reel Hoses
- Standard "YUE HING" red P.V.C. tough and reinforced fire reel hose, complied to BS3169
Type2 and ASA1221 for working pressure up to 13.8 bar (200 psi), or 16 bar (232psi)
maximum. Hoses for higher working pressure (20 bar / 25 bar) are also available.
In general, all hose reels are manufactured to BS EN 671-1 or ASA1221, but other standards can be complied with when specified.
