Music in South Korea.

Theres a distinction between the court music and the folk music.
The most important thing of the South Korean music is the voice, the voice on
their songs speaks about the behavior and the history of South Korea.
There are two genres of traditional music.
Jeong-Ak: It means same time and it is so expressive, the voice gives to the
music a sensation of history, its like a man talking about his problems and the
way that he solved them.
Minsogak: It means, music related with the people, the South Korean music
says that this type of music have the rhythm of the heart, and its played with
the beat of South Korea heart. Its a little bit faster than the Jeong-Ak and the
improvisation of the musicians is so important.
Dance.
As with music, there is a distinction between court dance and folk dance.
The traditional dances of South Korea have been an important part for the
culture of the country. Its product of the cultural exchange between China and
Korea.
The dances are classified in two types, national (Hyang-ak jeongjae) and
foreign (dang-ak jeoangjae). The foreign dances come from China, almost all of
them.
Also, there are some similarity in martial arts and certain dances and its a real
curious thing, because some movements of taekkyeon, are the same as one
type of a hyang-ak jeongjae dance.
Painting.
Naturalism with subjects such as realistic landscapes, flowers and birds being
particularly popular, arts are influenced by tradition and realism, ink is the
most common material used and its painted on mulberry paper or silk. Jeong

Pottery.
The handcrafts are so unique in South Korea. There are a lot of types of
handcrafts, made with some elements.
Most of the handcrafts are created for a particular everyday use, the use is
most important than aesthetics, but, this pottery are so beautiful and it gives to
South Korea that ancient style of the Asian culture.

White porcelain became popular in 15th century and was commonly painted or
decorated, the influence of Japanese ceramics was so important to this kind of
art in South Korea, in the beginning of the 15 th century, they worked with white
porcelain, but the blue porcelain became popular in 17 th century, and it were
painted in cobalt blue with copper.
Architecture
Buildings are structured vertically and horizontally, from a stone to a curved
roof covered with tiles, walls are made of earth and have movable wooden
doors.
The churches were made by stone and structured vertically, a tall construction
with a lot of floors with the occidental ambient, buddhist ambient.
