LLAW3270

Introduction to Chinas Law and Legal System

Shanghai, China, 10 22 April 2016

THE 2014 STUDENTS:

What students from previous Programs have said:

Studying in Shanghai was by far the best experience of my law degree and
I recommend any student regardless of whether they wish to practice law or not to make the
journey and experience a world and learn about a legal system that differs dramatically.
The insight into Chinese culture. Its influence on the legal system has to be seen to be believed.
The best aspect was the balance between the classes and tours organised, and also getting to
talk to some influential people in WTO and international field.
The topic was well structured and provided a good overview of the Chinese legal system with a
good balance between the learning component and the social element to the trip. I would
recommend it to other students who may consider doing the programme as it was both a great
learning and cultural experience.
