framycetin - is specifically neomycin B

neomycin: A mixture of neomycin B

and C. Well-documented to cause
contact sensitivity. An aminoglycoside
active against many Gram-negative
bacteria but P. aeruginosa is
generally resistant. Some activity
against S. aureus. Minimal in vitro
activity against streptococci but at
concentrations on skin, S.pyogenes
are likely killed.

gramicidin: Gram positive activity

polymyxin B: Gram negative activity

(including P. aeruginosa), except
Proteus and poorly active against
Providencia, Burkholderia & Serratia

bacitracin: Primarily active against

Gram positives: staphylococci,
streptococci, corynebacteria,
clostridia. Can be sensitizing.
