Introduction
A food truck is like restaurant on wheels. It has several
distinct advantages over a traditional eat-in restaurant. A food
truck can go to where the customers are. It has pretty low
overhead, compared to a restaurant, and requires far less staff
The food truck can carry any number of foods, and in some
cases, more sophisticated equipment for storing, serving,
cooking and preparing foods. Food-industry observers claim
that the food-truck business is increasing largely in response
to the slow-growing economy. People are seeking inexpensive
breakfasts and lunches. Also, employees today are often
pressed for time, with more work and shorter lunch hours.
These factors make the mobile-food concept more appealing
than ever. From an entrepreneurial standpoint food trucks
have a lower overhead than restaurants and can be moved if
one location does not generate enough business. Rather than
having to determine where to open a restaurant and worry
about the old real-estate adage "location, location, location,"
the owner can actually drive to a new location, location,
location if business is poor.

For customers at LOL, we add the convenience of having


food favorites right outside a particular location and meet
several needs by serving mobile food. First, we offer food that
is cost friendly because you need not pay wait staff . we also
offer the convenience of quick service. In many cases we
provide food choices that can save those on a busy schedule
from the need to sit down. Typically customers can eat street
foods while en route to their next destination. Finally, mobile
food is often fun to eat and great to talk about

Healthy Fast Food
Yes, healthy fast food is a possibility! Our vision is to bring
delicious and healthy food to you by way of the LL food
truck. We have been working on this concept for long,
developing a menu, writing a business plan, purchasing a step
truck, making renovations, and the dream is finally
manifesting. Our Kick starter project is to put the final
touches on our food truck.
LOL Fresh Fast Food is a project aimed at providing fresh,
local, and healthy food options to people who are busy and on
the go.

Innovation
BIO-FOODIE
Bio-Foodie is our innovation in the food truck by fitting Bio
gas plant under the truck that supplies bio gas for kitchen
usage. Due to scarcity of petroleum and coal it threatens
supply of fuel throughout the world also
problem of their combustion leds to research in different
corners to get access the new sources of energy, like
renewable energy resources. Solar energy, wind energy,
different thermal and hydro sources of energy, biogas are all
renewable energy resources. But, biogas is distinct from other
renewable energies because of its characterstics of using,
controlling and collecting organic wastes and at the same time
producing fertilizer and water for use in agricultural irrigation.
Biogas does not have any geographical limitations nor does it
requires advanced technology for producing energy, also it is
very simple to use and apply. Deforestation is a very big
problem in developing countries like India, most of the part
depends on charcoal and fuel-wood for fuel supply which
requires cutting of forest. Also, due to deforestation It leads to
decrease the fertility of land by soil erosion. Use of dung,

firewood as energy is also harmful for the health of the masses


due to the smoke arising from them causing air pollution. We
need an eco friendly substitute for energy .
Kitchen waste is organic material having the high calorific
value and nutritive value to microbes, thats why efficiency of
methane production can be increased by several order of
magnitude as said earlier. It means higher efficiency and size
of reactor and cost of biogas production is reduced. Also in
most of cities and places, kitchen waste is disposed in landfill
or discarded which causes the public health hazards and
diseses like malaria, cholera, typhoid. Inadequate
management of wastes like uncontrolled dumping bears
several adverse consequences: It not only leads to polluting
surface and groundwater through leachate and further
promotes the
breeding of flies , mosquitoes, rats and other disease bearing
vectors. Also, it emits unpleasant odour & methane which is a
major greenhouse gas contributing to global warming.Thus
creating a biogas plant under the truck is innovative but also
saving 70% of the energy and gas used while cooking.it also
helps in preventing throwing of the garbage in the

landfills.Instead in used in an efficient and eco friendly way.

Layout
Our truck is well-designed food truck, kitchen being efficient
and safe. Careful planning is done while designing the
kitchen ,thus saving our money and time during the build-out
phase and increasing the profitability of our truck.
Our food trucks kitchen design is primarily dictated by the
minimal space as well as the required equipment and budget.
When designing our food trucks kitchen,we considered
ergonomics, as this was appreciated by the chef and trucks
other on-board employees.

LOL Food Truck Equipments


We created a complete list (including detailed measurements)
of all equipment which were required for on board food prep,
refrigeration, and storage. Every single item of equipment met
commercial health code requirements. The size and amount of
equipment, plus food preparation counter surface, dictate the
amount of space our food truck kitchen have.
We gave special attention and made note of service windows,
doorways, and electrical outlets. We sketched about the
flooring material, wall and ceiling surface and all heating,

exhaust or air-conditioning vents. For our truck, we also drew


out a rough sketch of the dimensions and special features of
the proposed construction of our mobile kitchen. Our kitchen
is designed for maximum labour efficiency, safety and
functionality. We made sure that there is plenty of room to
move about freely when carrying hot pots and bulky supplies.
Thus helping us reduce waste time and extra movement
completing a task, and increasing efficiency and reducing
fatigue and workplace injuries.

Target Market
This paper will explore fast food and how it is effecting the
eating habits of college students. Ever since McDonalds
started with their first fast-food restaurant in 1948, the fastfood industry has been creeping into our society left and
right. Fast-food locations are on the rise, which results in a
rise of fast-food consumption. It seems around every
intersection, there is a fast-food location. The globalization
of fast food brings new foods into new cultures. The fast
food industry targets all ages, starting with the toddlers and
moves right to adolescence with adulthood around the corner
and also the elderly. The fast food establishments attract all
age groups with the use of toys, low prices, variety of size
choices in food and senior citizen discounts.
Studies show that most of the fast food consumption is
college students at the ages of 18-24 representing a total of
39% of the population. One reason for college students
making up a large percentage is that their daily life schedule is
filled with classes, and studying, yet time is not a luxury.
Many college students look for a fast, cheap and convenient

way to consume food. The college population visits the takeout window many times. Take-outs account for more than
half of all restaurant meals. This is evident in todays society
in America as we see a rise in fast-food consumption mainly
due to the idea of a busy lifestyle.
It was discovered that the majority of the population of
females and males polled likes to visit fast-food places about
once or twice a week and they go around lunchtime. Most of
the college students like to go through the drive-in window
rather than eat inside; this proves that many college students
go to these fast-food places for a quick lunch. Females and
Males both said they ate at fast-food places because of the
convenience followed by because their friends eat there.
Now more than ever college students rely on the convenience
of fast food to get through the day. According to
boundless.org and their campus culture survey, it is estimated
college students eat an average of six to eight fast food meals
a week.
These high numbers are more than likely due to convenience
and price, both of which are highly important to college
students.

Not only college students, we also targeting the corporate


employees in the town area. The main reason this is the large
number of corporate offices town side. These employees do
not get much time in their break to visit other restaurants.
Hence taking the advantage of the term FAST FOOD we
help them to save their time according to their convenience.
Again not only during breaks, also after their working hours,
way to their homes. It is much easier to get parcel and
consume it on their way while travelling long distances.
And by default there is no specific reason why we are
targeting the street food lovers. It is obvious due to the
increasing number of fast food lovers and consumers.

customers, take orders, take complaints, resolve them so
as to have continuous improvement. We also do take
suggestions of various recipies from our customers and
sometimes also provide gift vouchers to our advisors.

Since we come under mobile fast food providers it is


very necessary for us to provide a continuous and
ongoing up-to-date information about our truck and its
current geographical situation. This is obvious to avoid
confusion about the routes to our customers so that we
dont lose them and help in maintain customer loyalty.
And due to the technology it is now very easy to keep
such updates automatic and continuously online. This is
not only easier to surf and get to know the current
situation but also helps in save time of both- customers
and employees of LOL food truck.

Fast food is majorly consumed by the college students.
We provide these students special discounts on their ID
cards to maintain and increase number of customers.

STRENGTHS

Having the advantage of being the only player in the

market in the food truck category, it will be the dominant


leader in this category.

Providing good quality food at comparably lower prices

than the other fast food providers in the market, it has a great
competitive advantage.

A new idea of a mobile restaurant, the general public will

be attracted towards the innovative aspect of food truck.

Due to its mobility, even if the crowd is not satisfactory

at one place, the truck can always move along ahead on its
route, thus not incurring any opportunity loss.

WEAKNESSES

Due to the new idea of a mobile restaurant, there can be

positive as well as negative reactions regarding its


acceptability in the market by the general public.

Regarding its parking conditions, there is possibility of

harassment and trouble by municipal officials inspite of


possessing required documents.

Due to the mobile nature, high level of customer

recognition and brand loyalty is required in the course of time.

There is high maintainence n fuel cost of the truck and

the equipments therein, which can prove irksome during the


start-up launch.

OPPORTUNITIES

Mutual understanding with the municipal officials for

occupying key places in the required area , is necessary which


can provide large crowd as well as avoid hassles with the
authority

Once the idea of a food truck gets accepted, there can be

replication of the idea by potential n aspiring competitors.

Labour turnover and absenteesm can prove loss

incurring, as any absenty of one person in the staff can be


troublesome.

Due to bulk requirement of food material, expensive raw

materials can prove irksome.

Future Perspectives
Franchising
In future we are expecting to give franchising to increase our
food trucks and branches. We will target more cities in India
and along with time we are targeting internationally too.

Innovative truckIn future we are planning to buying double deck bus where
down deck will be used as regular food truck for the local
business and the upper deck will be used for children party
especially birthday parties. This kind of truck will be very
attractive and innovative and will attract people towards it.

Children party at deckUpper deck which we already discussed the upper deck will
be like an open terrace area and specialized for children there
will be special gaming place and toys will be kept to entertain
the children for the same.

Juices and ice cream countersAlong with increasing our space we will be trying to increase
our resources and customer likes by providing various types
of Ice creams with different flavors will serve this as a dessert
& provide them will complete happy meal. And juices counter
will also be provided with various fruit juices, there may be
customer who would not like ice cream so customer may go
for some healthy tasty juice too.
Non veg trucksIn future we are planning to have non veg food trucks to the
non veg lovers with various innovative dishes. This separate
truck in future will attract them and will be preferable to them.

Sitting arrangementsIn future we will provide suitable sitting arrangements in the


suitable place or location so that the customer can feel
comfortable and sit and have their food
Technologically advance orderSystems will be updated where the customer will themselves
take a bill through device provided by us and will provide that

bill with the respective price of the food so n time will not be
wasted in the process.

Conclusion
Quick service to the busy schedule of many population.
Also many women are now part of the working
population, so there are less "housewives" home to cook

proper meals.
