Particulars

Key indices may open slightly higher. Trading of CNX Nifty


futures on the Singapore stock exchange indicates that the
Nifty could gain 3.50 points at the opening bell.
In overseas markets, most Asian stocks dropped. US stocks
rose yesterday, 7 October 2015, thanks to a bounce in
biotechnology companies.
Back home, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares
worth a net Rs 50.60 crore yesterday, 7 October 2015, as
per provisional data released by the stock exchanges.
Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth a
net Rs 218.75 crore yesterday, 7 October 2015, as per
provisional data.

Meanwhile, increase in global commodity prices lifted


share prices of metal and mining sector companies and oil
exploration and production (E&P) firms which along with
gains for index heavyweights ITC and HDFC aided modest
upmove on domestic bourses yesterday, 7 October 2015.
The Sensex rose 102.97 points or 0.38% to settle at
27,035.85, its highest closing level since 21 August 2015.
The exclusive Memorandum of Understanding brings the
two organisations together for three years to collaborate
on innovative solutions and business models in the areas of
Supply Chain; Freight and Logistics; and Big Data and Data
Analytics for the UK Intelligent Mobility market, Tech
Mahindra and Catapult said in a joint press release issued
after close of Indian market hours yesterday, 7 October
2015.
