Electronic Medical Records

System for Ila Trust

HP is currently working with a HIV

awareness NGO, mothers2mothers (m2m)
to develop an IT solution that will move
their existing paper-based record-keeping
systems to a digital system.

HP is developing Ila Trust's new Electronic

Medical Records system, to replace the
existing paper-based processes, for delivering
health services to at-risk populations.

Scale: 700 sites spread across 9 countries.

Doctors to enter and retrieve patient

information from the field, and track health

HP Enterprise Services Improve Patient Service

Outcomes through End-to-End IT Outsourcing
Government of Maharashtra Medical
Education and Drugs Department (MEDD)
Digitization and Interconnection of
GoM Hospitals & Medical Colleges
Staff shortages and a time-consuming manual
system were causing long patient waiting
times at the Grant Government Medical
College & Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals in
Maharashtra, India. HP servers, storage and
desktop computers were combined into an
efficient computerized system, delivered
through an HP outsourcing agreement.

Primary Objectives:

Create a unique health ID record and permanent

medical number for every patient visiting a hospital
Reduce registration waiting times
Make all reports and images instantly available to
clinicians on-screen
Patient records would be stored electronically so
they could be accessed from any hospital,
transparency would be introduced to the clinical
audit trail and pilferage loopholes would be
plugged.

HP was without doubt the strongest contender on technical

evaluation of the solution, delivery capabilities, infrastructure
management and innovative processes in the IT field.

Selected Client Testimonials: Akzo Nobel

Role in multi-supplier environment
Akzo Nobel uses an elaborate structure to manage outsourcing
relationships all the way from a service delivery manager as
an operational contact after the dedicated person, making
account plans (something you typically only expect at/of the
other side of the table), into committees steering committees,
executive contacts, etcetera for each of our relationships.
Now, where we have multiple relationships and multiple
outsourcing providers of course it becomes a little bit more
complex. HP has done a great job for us because they have the
firstline help desk to also connect with other providers that
we have for telecommunications, data center management, etc.
and really be the front end. The structure weve chosen is really
to try and find the metrics and the processes that are important
to Akzo Nobel and not to have every single provider make their
service levels, but really look at processes end to end and be
jointly accountable for end-to-end management processes.
See Pieter Schoehuijs, CIO, talk about how HP helps in a multi-supplier environment by providing front-end support and jointly looking at business
processes end-to-end: http://www8.hp.com/h20621/video-gallery/us/en/8bc85fe6bb905cc6ccfd6cc62021283826bc6a8a/r/video
