These changes have been included in the Office Manual for Lawyers on the S&C Intranet and will be included in the next distribution of the printed Manual. Some of the more significant changes are outlined below. VACATION TIME, © When a lawyer records four or more elient hours on a planned vacation day, that day will not count against the lawyer's total vacation allotment. MEALS * We have revised our policy for evening and weekend meals to increase the per meal limit to $35 (inclusive of tax and gratuity) regardless of any limit imposed by a particular client, * Given tax considerations, please make sure each meal is ordered on a day on which you will work until at least 8:00 p.m. and that the meal is eaten in the office. 125 BROAD STREET FITNESS CENTER © Effective October 17, 2015, the Fitness Center will be open from 10 a.m, until 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. CAR SERVICE ‘* Inorder to shorten wait times with our New York-based black car services, we recently implemented a rate increase for the ear services and a voluntary gratuity for the car service drivers. ‘* Understanding that Uber has become a more efficient resource, we adopted guidelines to facilitate lawyers" use of Uber when that is more convenient than our black car services. Please note that the Firm's reimbursement for Uber rides will include surge pricing, up to 125%. + To.comply with client requirements and our internal policies, a receipt is required for all taxi rides as well as @ description of the pick-up time, pick-up and drop-off locations, and business purpose of the ride. RECEIPTS FOR EXPENSES * Many of our clients now require receipts for any expense. Therefore, please submit a receipt for all expenses, regardless of total cost. ‘TIMELY SUBMISSION OF DAILY TIME ENTRIES (“DTEs") ‘+ In response to client requirements and requests and after consulting with the Associate Experience Committee, we have revised our policies and procedures on submission of DTEs. Effective November 1, 2015, a lawyer must submit all entries for each week by the sixth business day following the last day of that week. ‘Therefore, absent holidays, entries for a week (and any prior unsubmitted entries) must be in by 11:30 p.m. on the second Monday following the end of the week. ‘© A lawyer who misses the deadline for two consecutive weeks will not be eligible for direct deposit of compensation for the following two pay periods. ‘The lawyer will need to obtain his/her check from his/her respective Practice Group or Office Managing Partner. OFFICE DESKS ‘+ We will provide a standing desk for any lawyer who wishes to use one. Please contact Dana Tuluca in Operations in New York or your office manager in other S&C offices. HEADSETS ‘© We now have available wireless headsets to be used with our office phones. Please contact PC Support if you would like a headset. ‘TRAVEL ‘© We completed a study to determine the level of satisfaction with our Travel Department. As a result of the survey responses, we identified ways to improve services with American Express and have reallocated staff to allow for better coverage ‘© Alllawyers have been issued individual American Express corporate cards to be used for business purposes. If a lawyer would prefer not to use his or her individual corporate card for airline travel, S&C has a Firm corporate card that can be used for this purpose S&C
