Submission Guidelines
Cut-off of February 15th: the material received until this date will be evaluated for the JulyDecember issue of the same year.
Cut-off of August 15th: the material received until this date will be evaluated for the JanuaryJune issue of the following year.
Phase 2. The texts in this phase will be evaluated by two experts in the topic using the peerreview system, with a specific form for this purpose. This journal often calls for the services of
external evaluators (not from the Committees, the Editorial Board or the Universidad de
Antioquia). Evaluators will have a period between twenty and thirty days to express their
judgement. Evaluators can: accept, accept to be modified or reject articles. If the verdicts of
the two evaluators are radically opposed, a third evaluator will be called. Once the verdicts of
the two or three evaluators (depending on the case) are examined, authors will receive the
results of the process via email.
Phase 3. Authors whose texts are accepted or accepted to be modified will have a period of
10 days to send the new version of their work.
Once articles and reviews pass these phases, they will go through a proofreading process.
During the editing period, the journal could establish communication with the authors in order
to solve doubts.
The articles sent to Estudios de Literatura Colombiana cannot be evaluated by any other
publication at the same time. Receiving the texts does not mean their publication. The Editor
holds the copyrights of the articles published by Estudios de Literatura Colombiana. If authors
wish to replicate the published material, they must wait six months before sending a written
request to the Editorial Committee.
Authors will receive two copies of each issue in which they publish after its publication.
