MEGASIL M 1763
General Information:
Megasil M 1763 has a Vinyl reactive organic group and a trimethoxysilyl reactive
In-organic group making it an excellent candidate for crosslinking organic polymers. M
1763 is reactive both free radical chemistry and hydrosilation chemistry. It forms
siloxane crosslinks through moisture cure & bonds with inorganic surfaces through
alkoxysilane groups. Used in moisture cure systems as a moisture scavenger where
enhanced shelf life is sought. Used as coupling agents in filled rubber compounds and
in reinforced / filled plastics; as a crosslinking site in polyethylene as well as a reactant
in siloxane polymer synthesis.
