Veinsofonematerialwithinanother(suchasgoldwithinquartz)usuallyindicatea
veryrapid(ifnotalmostinstant)solidificationfromtheliquidstate.Suddenexposure
toreducedpressure,suchasduringavolcaniceruption,causesthis.Itisaninteresting
thoughtthatasquartzandironcrystallizeunderpressure,theelectricalcharges(and
polarization)thatmightresultcouldhaveaninfluenceoverhowthegoldactually
forms(grows?)whilesuspendedwithinit.
