Minutes of the Meeting


Date: August 15, 2015 (Saturday)
Time Started: 12:00 PM
OPENING: The regular meeting of the LEX CIRCLE was called to order at 12:00PM at the School of
Law Faculty Room presided by the President, Jeremiah Anthony Reynaldo.
Present were:

Agenda: Intramurals 2015


1. Attendance for the Parade on August 25, 2015 will be COMPULSORY. Attendance will be
checked. This will be subject to approval by the Dean.
Those who will be absent will pay a fine of PHP100.00 and must submit an explanation letter
addressed to the Dean.
2. Snacks for the parade and games were also discussed.

3. Jerseys for the players was also discussed and the budget per player will have to be canvassed and
finalized by Monday, August 17 at the latest.
The colors for the School of Law are BLACK and PURPLE.
4. Solicitation letters will also be distributed for additional funds for the Intramurals.
5. Other matters not related to the Intramurals were also discussed.
Constitution and By-Laws c/o Previous LEX CIRCLE were to be submitted by Mr. Loven
Masias. Ratification will be after Midterms.
Exam Notebooks were discussed. For the MIDTERMS, the same method during prelims will
be followed.
LEX CIRCLE Funds or Membership Fee will be implemented. It was suggested that upon
enrollment, a student may pay an amount such as PHP500.00 which is inclusive of
membership fee and some expenses covered by school activities.
LEX CIRCLE Out of School activities was suggested by Mr. Reynaldo. These are the
following:
COURT VISITS: A student may be required to attend at least TWO hearings on
separate days per semester

SEMINARS: These will be conducted by the LEX CIRCLE to serve as a fund


raising activity.
FIRM INTERNSHIP: This may be done during SUMMER VACATION for 2nd year
students or incoming 3rd year students.
BAR OPERATIONS: In order to fund this, the LEX CIRCLE will now have to
conduct fund raising activities. It was suggested that selling of shirts during
Foundation Day might be feasible. Mr. Reynaldo also suggested selling of ID
SLINGS with the School Logo on Foundation Day.
CAREER TALK: This will be conducted in different schools, for High School or Undergrad
Students on why they should be inspired to take up Law after the graduate.
DRESS CODE: Suggestions were given regarding the proposed dress code. Students were to
use collared shirts. Use of shoes that are semi-casual to semi-formal will be implemented. No
rubber shoes allowed. Men may wear slacks or khaki pants and the ladies may wear skirts or
slacks.
Still subject for approval by the majority and to be implemented after MIDTERMS if
approved
Fine will be imposed but students may have 1st and 2nd warning
The next meeting was scheduled to be on September 5, 2015 (Saturday) at 12:00PM.
Meeting adjourned at 1:15PM.
