i780 to Heineken78s ROMs:

What you will need:
- preferable original USB cable from Samsung

- preferable Windows XP (still dont know how to do it on Windows7/Vista)

with Active Sync 4.5
(Active Sync can be downloaded from here:

Ok.. next step. Download two ROMs.

First: PDXIB1
(its English original ROM of Windows Mobile 6.1
and it will be the base for uploading custom cooked ROMs)

READY TO FLASH? DOWNLOADED ROM?

YOU ARE SURE THAT YOU DOWNLOADED IT CORRECTLY?
CHECK THE SIZE OF FILES OF YOU CAN.
IF MD5 hash IS PROVIDED, CHECK IT.
TWINK TWICE BEFORE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DESTROY YOUR PHONE!

Ok here we go its not so scary at all if you will do it safely.

ADVICES:
1. Use the normal USB ports. Not splitters, not front USB ports.
Better to disconnect any unnecessary USB equipment before flashing
2. Charge the battery of the phone.
You can brick/destroy the phone, if the battery will deplete before flashing will be over
3. Turn off some idiotic programs, that can block Mirage LV.
Especially fancy firewalls, pc doctors, debuggers etc.
no one will buy you a new phone,
only because you used some shitty software on your computer
4. Always use the PDXIB1 ROM as a base for any custom ROM of Heineken78.
So if you want to upload new ROM, a custom ROM, flash your phone with PDXIB1
5. Install first the USB Modem Drivers. Simply open the archive, use the setup.exe and wait till install.
After that, turn off your phone for a while, connect the USB cable, and turn your phone in

emergency mode. How to do it? Its easy. Hold black and white button and Enter, then slightly turn
the phone on with the switch on the top of phone

Then wait till the computer will recognize new device, and install the drivers for it. It will prevent any
problems just before the flashing, because The Samsung i780 ready to flash will be already
installed

LETS FLASH! ..

or still almost few things to do

First..
Hard-reset the phone. Why? Only to prevent some shit coming during flashing.
How to do it?
Turn off the phone.
Now, hold 2 buttons: answer green and red discall/lock phone buttons.

Turn the phone on with the switch on the top of phone,

when an information will appear on the screen, you can stop holding the green/red buttons.
Press the Space and wait until phone will do the formatting,
and installing Windows Mobile from the beginning
You set up anything? Touch calibrated? OK lets go

1. Disconnect the phone and turn it off.

2. Turn on the Mirage Lv 1.8
3. You should have something like this on the screen

If not, set everything to be like this

(like for example: Select a profile should be set up as: MIRAGE LV image)
4. Choose a Bootloader file. Click on the button LOADER and select a file:

5. Next press the PDA button:

And select ROM file.

6. Now you should see that program will make some calculations. Thats good.
After calculations, press the PHONE button.

And choose specific file for Phone.

7. Now the funny part, with a lot of colours

You should see everything ready and steady to go. Is your phone turned off, already installed
by the new drivers in emergency mode, battery is charged and phone is connected with usb
cable to some normal basic USB ports? So..
Be sure that you have option: Phone Bootloader Update marked as active (red arrow)
Make sure you turned off the Start downloading immediately (pink? arrow)
Now click button Detect and after 1-2 seconds, turn the phone in Emergency Mode
If the phone will be detected, you can press the button Start downloading and pray that
everything will went fine ;)

On your i780 screen you should see the progress bar.

A short message will appear in right side of Mirage saying that you can disconnect the phone,
when the flashing will be over.

OK. GOOD JOB MATE.

About 60% or even 75% of work is done.

Turn on the phone, make a basic set-up,

soft-reset the phone, turn it off,
and lets begin the part 2 of the drama going on ;)

Now Close the Mirage, open it once again,

and now we will try to flash the phone with custom ROM, like Hybrid or Marvel Dream.

After starting Mirage LV 1.8 once again, press the PDA button and choose the one file of the
custom downloaded ROM.

Now.. remember you will tick this option ON!

TURN ON THE PHONE BOOTLOADER UPDATE

and be sure that START DOWNLOADING IMMEDIATELY IS OFF!

If everything is ready, make sure you connected the phone with the USB cable,
phone is off, the battery is charged.

Click DETECT, turn phone in EMERGENCY MODE, and then START DOWNLOADING.
After flashing, disconnect the phone, turn it on, make basic set-up (time, touch calibration)
and please remember to SOFT-RESET the phone!

Thats all. It wasnt so hard isnt it?

If you cant change option Wakeup by SMS (its a fitcher, than if the sms will come, your
phone will wake up), try changing the registry:

Use the freeware PPC Pim Backup. Its maybe not easy to use, but there are a lot
of guides on the internet. Google It!
