Definition
Crime prevention consists of forecasting, observing and
evaluating elements or circumstances, which would
constitute a crime risk, and taking measures to remove or at
least reduce the risk. It covers every type of action that can
be taken to prevent or reduce the number of occasions on
which a crime could be committed.
Pencegahan jenayah merangkumi ramalan, pemantauan dan
penilaian unsur-unsur atau keadaan yang boleh
menimbulkan risiko jenayah, dan mengambil langkahlangkah untuk menghapuskan atau sekurang-kurangnya
mengurangkan risiko itu. Ia termasuk setiap jenis tindakan
yang dapat diambil untuk mencegah atau mengurangkan
bilangan kejadian di mana suatu jenayah dapat dilakukan.

Landscaping
If you have landscaping abutting your premises (trees or shrubs) should be
pruned regularly to maintain lines of sight from the street.
Shrubs should be maintained to a maximum height of 1 metre.
These measures will enable staff to observe and monitor any suspicious
activity which may occur inside/outside the premises.

Video surveillance systems of the bank floor/teller areas and ATM
area should be aligned properly.

Be able to describe the size, type and colour of weapons used in the robbery .

Remain calm. Let the robber know that you intend to cooperate. Don't
make any sudden moves that could cause the robber to panic and
endanger lives.

Do not divulge information about the robbery to the media or any other
person. Remember that the amount of the robbery/theft losses and all
other details are confidential; they are of concern only to the employer
and the police.

Write down description of the robber including sex, race, height, weight,
build, eye and hair color, scars, tattoos, jewelry, age and clothing. Do not
trust your memory, jot down immediately.
Don't be afraid to testify. If you must go to court, you will not be obliged
to reveal your address and phone numbers except to the police.

sides, we could prevent or reduce the number of
crime cases together by being responsible towards
realizing a safe and secure business environment.
Prevention and combating crimes must be a joint
effort between the police and the community.
