Since 1990, Montelektro has been an engineering solutions provider
across a wide range of sectors, around the world.
It is important that our clients are familiar
with our business. It is, however, much
more important that we learn about our
clients business.
Our goal is to improve our clients
industrial process, regarding not only the
current project but the whole production
as well.
We have learned that only first class
equipment and best solutions are good
enough for our clients. Therefore, we
cooperate with leading component
providers, follow the latest regulations
and implement the highest standards.
We are one of the leading companies in
our field of activities in Croatia, esteemed
and well-known abroad as well.
Montelektro is open to both its employees
and clients and applies business and

Organization
Montelektro is well-established in Croatia
and operates through offices situated in
Rijeka and Zagreb.
Montelektro employs skilled and
experienced, mostly University graduate
engineers, in order to provide fast and
efficient service worldwide.
In Croatia, Montelektro is a reliable
and permanent partner to the leading
companies in food processing, cement,
pharmaceutics, tobacco processing and
energy production.
Abroad, Montelektro cooperates with
world class process equipment suppliers
in various fields of industry: breweries,
steel plants, cement, tobacco industry and
pharmaceutics - in terms of PLC and HMI
software programming as well as turnkey projects.

What we do
Montelektro offers a wide range of engineering services including
design, manufacturing, programming, erection and commissioning
Our clients expect the whole electric
package. We therefore offer basic and
detailed design, planning, assembly and
installation.
They also expect modern plants. We
offer automation including production
software, plant and supervisory level
and integration to the business level.
Additionally, maintenance and service
during operation are an integral part of
our offer.

Electrical Systems Planning

We prepare design documents for
building permission, documentation
for production, erection, testing,
commissioning and maintenance.
Design solutions are in accordance with:
valid laws, regulations and technical
rules
international IEC, ANSI/IEEE and EN
standards

national standards in our clients and

end users countries
professional rules and guidelines (GEP,
GMP, GAMP, etc.)
We use modern software tools (ePLAN,
AutoCAD, MS Project etc.), databases
(MS SQL, My SQL) and specific automation
software.
Our design ranges from high-voltage
power supply of the industrial plant,
low-voltage distribution, MCC cabinets
for motor control, PLC cabinets and
distributed periphery, supervision
systems, instrumentation, cabling and
terminals.
We always try to join our customer in
electrical planning process, itself being
the most interesting part of design
qualification procedure.

Low voltage Cabinets

We offer various types of low-voltage
cabinets for industry and power

Depending on application requirements,

Before use, each component is subjected

to rigorous incoming inspection. This
guarantees the use of high-quality
and conforming components only, and
ensures their traceability. We use
only first-class products such as ABB,
Siemens and Schneider, depending on
customersrequirements.
Prior to delivery, products are subjected
to extensive Factory Acceptance Testing
(FAT) in accordance with:
International standard IEC
Other international and national
standards according to customers and
end users requirements
Specific contract requirements.
As regards environment and energy
savings, concrete results are achieved
by environmental management system
according to ISO 14001, which covers the
whole life cycle of the cabinet, including
maintenance.

AC and DC Drives
In the field of motors and drives,
MONTELEKTRO offers the following
services:
application design and project
documentation of variable speed drives
and non-regulated drives,
delivery of equipment (motors,
frequency converters, soft starters,
cables, cabinets and other control and
protection equipment),
erection and connection of equipment,
commissioning, testing and start-up.
In the field of variable speed drives we
usually use ABB, Danfoss and Siemens
products, but according to customers
whishes, we also use any other types
of products. Montelektro has installed
hundreds of drives for pumps, fans,
elevators etc. The biggest drives were
implemented in cement plants, for fan
drives, roll press, kiln, etc.

Since 1999 MONTELEKTRO has been the

ABB Product Sales Partner for ACS400
and ACS600 products. Since March 2007
MONTELEKTRO has been the authorized
ABB Drives Alliance - Sales, Support and
Service partner for ACS600 and ACS800
products.
ABB Drives Alliance - Sales, Support
and Service partnership includes the

Automation
Montelektro offers a wide range of
automation systems, ranging from simple
machine automation (micro PLC with OP
operator panel) to complex integrated
plant automation. This typically includes:
A number of various size/make PLCs to
control process in different sections of
the plant (process cells)
HMI with local OP (operation panel) or
TP (touch panel)
Several pairs of hot redundant SCADA
servers
Dozens of SCADA view stations with a
possiblity to control/monitor a part of,
or the entire

MES system incuding tracking and
tracing, recipe creating and monitoring,

Interface with ERP
We are able to offer an automation system

Programming Standards

The system consists of the following

modules:

Montelektro has used a wide range

and numerous generations of different
automation systems. We were able to
compare software solutions made by
other experienced software suppliers.
As a result, we have developed our
own automation software framework:
Montelektro integrator. The aim was
to offer a flexible and easy-to-use
automation system, customized according
to the end user needs. We believe that we
succeeded in finding the best compromise
between flexibility and simplicity. Our
end users (operators, technologists,
electrical/mechanical maintenance staff,
production managers) do not need to
be IT specialists to operate the system or
obtain the necessary information out of it.

Control modules management (more

then 20 individual and complex CMs)

The system is structured in a way which

makes the application code clear and easy
to understand or modify. A ladder diagram
is the default representation of PLC
programming code.

carry out work with different specialists
within the company. Thus, the work is fully
controlled and coordinated with a purpose
of achieving the best possible result with

Commissioning and system tests.

We have several outstanding erection and

commissioning teams who can make the
reconstruction with a minimum impact on
normal production.
The main installation services are:
Industrial installation of cable routes;

electrical equipment included in

and communication cables (laying,
connecting and tagging);

Training
We find the education of operating and
maintenance personnel an important
part of our job. Operator Manual presents
a standard part of our delivery. This
allows us to perform the better quality of
maintenance services.

Maintenance
We offer maintenance services for
automation products and systems in
industry and building management.
We offer predictive, preventive and
corrective maintenance. Our maintenance
contract also includes a HOT-Line
mantenance team of experienced
engineers and a 24- hour service.

Beer and beverage
Montelektro has more than 15 years of
experience in automation of breweries.
In this period we have become a reliable
partner for many breweries worldwide.
We are engaged in projects with worlds
leading beer producers like AB InBev,
Heineken, Carlsberg, Sacofrina and other
renowned international beer producers.
We operate through direct contracts with
breweries or as sub- supplier of the world
most famous beer processing equipment
suppliers such as: Meura, Ziemann,
Krones, Norit, Kieselmann, Alfa Laval, etc.
Over the last 15 years we have gained
extensive experience and knowledge
of SW solutions for breweries, but also
for brewing technologies. Today we
have developed into one of the biggest
independent SW suppliers for the brewing
industry. We are able to carry out even
the biggest automation projects. One of

our recent references is automation of

the 3 million hl InBev brewery in Eastern
Europe. We have replaced the complete
beer production automation system with a
new one designed by Montelektro.
Thanks to our experienced people,
we have also become a specialist for
old automation systems replacement;
we are able to replace the most
complicated automation systems with
minimum stoppage time and maximum
performance. Our reference list contains
a number of replacement projects.
Due to the fact that we cooperate with
different equipment suppliers, we have

Having been enganged in cement factories
in Croatia since 1997, Montelektro gained
considerable experience in cement
industry.
Our projects have included documentation
for building permission, detailed design,
cabinets, automation, electrical erection,
engineering and complete investment

Tobacco
Montelektro has gained experience in
tobacco industry through collaboration
with Italian producer Garbuio. This
included our support for automation and
commissioning of Primary processing
plants, with Lamina and Stem lines and
Presses, all around the world.
We made complete reconstructions of
tobacco plants in Croatia and Bosnia. In
Croatia we cooperate with market leader
in the field of Leaf preparation plants.
In 2005 and 2006 we undertook our
biggest individual project: the new
greenfield factory in Croatia for the
leading cigarette manufacturer in the
region. This project management included
the complete equipment supply, erection
and commisionning of power stations,
power distribution, air conditionning
(HVAC), illumination, IT and telephone
network, fire alarm system...
Nowadays, we cooperate with American
producer EvansMacTavish and Fishburne
in the field of Threshing lines, Lab
equipment and Presses.
