The teacher is an interesting case, because he is authoritarian and in
fact has a very aggressive us VS them attitude towards students. He
sees then as enemies he has to fight off, as a future he needs to
punish and escape. Not a set of students he has to teach. Its
understandable he wishes students to respect his authority, but thats
his only wish. He doesnt want anything to do with his students, but is
a teacher.
John Bender: The Rebel:
He seeks validation in the form of attention. He seems to be deeply
affected by the belief by others that he is worthless and has no impact
on the world. So he tries to leave an impact in the form of negative
behavior. So he gains a thrill from getting a negative rise from others.
Even his positive role of aiding his other students
Claire Standish: The Gal Pal:
Has both permissive parents and at the same time uninvolved parents.
She seeks it from her friends resulting her in adopting a disinterested
attitude.
Andrew Clarke: The Athlete:
Receives pressure from his father to perform. This pressure results on
him fallowing his fathers footsteps.
Brian Ralph Johnson: The Brain:
Brain seeks to join any group he has the option being in in. He seeks
approval from everyone and anyone and has a weak sense of self and
is dependent on everybody around him for validation. This manifests in
stress and eventually results in depression and suicidal thoughts.
Allison Reynolds: The Crazy:
Seems to seek attention with strange behavior from others unless she
suffers from some sort of disability.

Adolescence:
Universal Elements:
Transferring personality traits from child-Adult. Many of the children
worry about these elements but also seem to be doomed to repeat the
errors of their parents. Thi is a case of observational learning at its
worst. When the worst traits pass on to child from adult. The Jock
behaves like a jerk to a decent person because he believes it will
appeal to his father and his regards and beliefs.
All parents of the children are either authoritarian, or are uninvolved at
most. Only the Rebel has parents that are outright abusive.
All the children seek attention because of a lack of attention from their
parents. The Brain, and the Sporto receive attention, but this attention
is dependent on their strength and good grades. The Galpal doesnt
receive attention from her parents, and so seeks it out from her friends
to the point of not speaking her own mind. Rebel receives attention
from parents but can only find it from negative attention, or in a sense
embraces the negative values his parents push on him in order to
receive any attention whatsoever. Crazy also receives no attention
from her parents and seeks attention from the people around her with
either strange attitudes or with lies.
