Description of scene you intend to film in this location:

Within this location we plan to create the first scene of our thriller
opening sequence. This will be a breakfast scene in which the
concerned parent of one of the protagonists will be revealed, as well
as a foreshadowing of the dangers that will be presented further within
the piece. This will be accomplished through the use of a newspaper
article explaining the recent and strange rumours surrounding the
woods. Therefore, this location holds great significance within the
making of our piece, in order to quickly establish an equilibrium which
can easily be broken down and darkened ready for the following scenes
to come.
Lighting level:
In regards to the lighting levels of this location, due to the nature of
our intended scene (this being a breakfast scene) the locations lighting
is only truly appropriate during the early hours of the day, as the
morning is the conventionally expected time for one to have breakfast,
therefore in order to avoid any confusion of our audience as well as an
inconvenient lack of natural light (resulting in us having to use the
electric lighting, which would result in decreasing the overall genuinity
of the time of day), I believe that this location is only suited to our
scene during the day, when their there is enough natural light to give
them impression that the scene is taking place within the early hours
of the morning.
Noise level:

The level of noise varies depending upon the day, for example I found
that during weekdays the house is considerably more quiet, most likely
due to the busy lifestyle of the house recipients, resulting in the house
to be somewhat void of people in comparison to the weekend, where
the noise level is considerably higher as most of the house residents
remain within this location. However, in terms of the rooms I wish to
use the noise level is considerably quieter. Meaning that in terms of
suitability this room although may experience some disturbance from
people within the rest of the house does remain at a suitable noise
level for filming which will not hinder the overall quality of our
footage. Also if the noise levels do become a hindrance after speaking
with the location owner they have agreed to aim to keep the noise
levels down during the filming of our piece.
Potential hazards:
In regards to the potential hazards of this location, they are very little.
This is because the location is familiar to me and is an environment in
which people live and is therefore very safe in terms of the risks to
safety. However there are some potential risks that need to be
addressed. For example, our use of the kitchen means that we will be
subjected to the potential harm of kitchen equipment, for example
knifes of cutlery (which will be used within our scene), which, if not
handled safety could cause harm to our group members. Also, our use
of the toaster within the kitchen for one of our scenes means that we
should remain sensible when using such equipment to avoid the
potential infliction of injuries, such as burns. Also there are some
hazards in terms of damaging or disturbing the location. For example
due to the nature of this location, our filming may affect others within
the house, inconveniencing their everyday lives. Therefore, in order to
avoid any disturbance we should remain respectful of the location
owners and make compromises to some of our filming if necessary (for
example the arrangement of a time that best suits both us and the
location owner).
Overall suitability:
Overall, I believe that this location is highly suitable for our thriller
opening piece. This is because in terms of potential risks this is very
low, and any issues can be addressed through sensible behaviour and
an awareness of our surroundings. Also the safety for this location is

very high and the only compromise we will need to make is that of
filming times, both to meet the convenience of the location owner as
well as to meet our needs in terms of a good level of natural lighting,
in order to correctly establish the time of day as morning.
