Para os con/uillcrs existem empilhadeiras prprias, normalmente denominadas de stacker ou reachstacker e transtainer: Esses dois
equipamentos podem ser considerados complementares c convivem
harmoniosamcnte, cada qual com a sua funo e peculiaridade.
O stacker ou rcachstacker mais verstil quanto sua
movimentao, podcndo dirigir-se a qUalquer ponto c tendo maior
capacidade de empilhamento em altura. Em contraposio, utiliza mais
espao para movimentar-se, necessitando de TUasde cerca de 12 metros

1944, tendo sido estabelecida efetivamente em abril de 1947, aps a
ratificao dc 26 dos 52 membros participantes da conveno, tornandose uma agncia especializada das Naes Undas em outubro de 1947.

No passado, as locomotivas possuam eixos motores, com
motor de trao para fazer o eixo girar, e eixos-guia, destinados apenas
sustentao e guiagem da locomotiva. Atualmente, os eixos so motores, sendo montados dois a dois ou trs a trs, formando estruturas
chamadas de truques ferrovirios.
Assim, existem locomotivas assentadas em dois truques, cada
qual Com dois cixos, idcnti licadas pela sigla B-B. Locomotivas mais
potentes costumam utilizar dois truques de trs cixos cada, sendo conhecidas como C-C, tomando as locomotivas muito pesadas.
Locomotivas e vages muito pesados geram problemas de
aumento da atividade de conservao das vias, que se no tratadas
adequadamente geraro 'Puitos problemas. Os trechos mais antigos,
com ponte e viadutos centenrios, tm problemas para receber equipamentos modernos e psados.

Concentrated loads are loads, that are not
distributed over the full length of floor,
when stowing heavy cargo in containers
other than flats or platforrns due cal"e has
to be taken that concentrated loads wll
not exceed the strength of the battam
construction of the container.

Gooseneck Tunnel on 40' Containers
