Introduction

Learning Management Corporation(LMC) is currently facing two concern on its

management system. Firstly , due to the usage of traditional flat file processing
system , LCM were unable to update all its system at the same time and it has cause
data redundancy in its system. This is shown when LCM has to store its data in
separate tape and disk files. Secondly , LCM is seeking solutions to manage its
customer in a more efficient way to increase customer satisfaction. LCM need to
integrate its sales cycle into a single system and database where it allow LCM to
analyse the data and provide greater services to its customer in term on timely and
convenient response to its customer.

To address the concern , our consulting team is proposing a database with a

Customer Relationship Management(CRM) system. A central database is required to
store , update and process all information within the organisation system
simultaneously. Users can retrieve the data easily from the central database without
the need to access other functional part of the organisation. This will create a single
data repository to support numerous applications. There will be no data redundancy
as data is stored only once. Single update is required which help to reduce the time
and cost of keeping the data.

Customer Relationship Management(CRM) system is a integrated system designed

to manage the sales cycle from order processing , payment processing to after-sales
support and analyse the customers' data throughout its interaction with the company.
CRM will compile information from customers' personal information, purchase
history, buying preferences to customers' concerns into the database.CRM will then
analyse the information available and allow the company to design more
personalised information and campaign toward specific customers. This will help to
increase the one to one interaction with the customer and ultimately increase their
satisfaction and drive sales growth.
