Pond

Animals

Fire

Who might be harmed &

how?
Driver of the car, actors
and film crew. The car
could not be in complete
control and might hit
someone, or something.
If anyone goes into the
pond and takes in water,
then the risk of drowning
might be high. If any crew
member is holding
equipment when they fall
into the pond, then the
equipment is likely to get
damaged.
The dogs that are on-site,
could jump up and hurt
person/s or damage
equipment. In addition to
this, there is a donkey onsite that could bite people
or walk on the equipment.
For a few of the scenes in
the film, we will be having
some paper that is on fire.
This could cause harm to
the cast and crew of the
trailer, but also cause
damage to the surrounding
area and buildings.

What are you already doing?

The person who is driving the car, will have a drivers
licence, insurance and MOT on the car. Seat belts will be
worn by people who are in the car. The driveway that the
car will drive up, will be occupied by the filming crew at
times and risk will be reduced by the car being driven in
a slow and controlled manner.

The crew and cast members will be kept clear of the

pond and will be aware of where the pond is on-site
when they arrive, so that they know which area to be
cautious of.

The dogs will be in a secure room, and the film location

will be cleaned before those who suffer from allergies
arrive on-site so that an allergic reaction risk is heavily
reduced. The donkey will be locked away in a separate
field and this will be done by the owner of the donkey
who knows how to move the donkey in the best way
possible.
To control the use of the fire, we will be using the
minimum amount of flammable material, minimal fire
accelerant and will have a fire extinguisher on site and
close by in case the fire gets out of control. Due to the
scenes with the burning paper being outside, the
damage to the buildings will only be on the outside, and
to reduce this risk we will film a moderate distance away
from the buildings.

What further action is

necessary?
(write none if appropriate)
If the weather conditions are icy
and hazardous, then grit will be
put onto the driveway, to add
traction. Furthermore, rock salt
will be laid down to help reduce
the amount of ice.
If the ground surrounding the
pond is icy, then extra caution
will be taken when the cast is
near the pond for a crucial
reason.

The fences ect that will hold the

animals back will be checked to
ensure that they cant be
knocked over.
All members of the cast and crew
will be told when the filming of
the scenes with the paper begins
and ends, and will all be told
where the location/s of the fire
extinguishers are prior to filming.
In addition to this, everyone will
be aware of the location of the
first aid kit/s that will be present

in case of injury.

General Accidents

General accidents are

those accidents that could
happen at any time and
place and either cause
minor or no injury. This
includes falling over or
bumping into something.
Everyone during filming
will always be at risk of
this, due to when it can
happen.

Upon arrival everyone will be told to watch where they

are going, due to the uneven surfaces and lack of
knowledge of the area which is expected when filming.
The places that will pose the biggest threats to general
accidents will be showed to everyone when they arrive
so that they know where to take extra caution. These
places will be expected to be the stairs, and any very
uneven surfaces.

Action Plan from further action

If you have written something in the further action box (above right) then you need to add some details here about
how you will make the activity safer.

Grit salt being placed on the driveway and paths if there is ice or risk of it potentially snowing whilst filming to allow
people to walk more safely and the car to have better traction on the driveway to reduce accident risk.

First aid kit/s and fire extinguishers will be placed around the filming site and everyone will be told where they are
upon arrival

Everyone will be told where the

first aid kit/s are when they
arrive so that they know where
to go if someone requires
medical assistance.

By Who
Who will make
the safety
changes?
The crew that
first arrive on
the scene will
do this so that
the area is
safer for the
rest of the
cast and crew.
These will
already be
present
around the
area.
