Objective of the Course

the form of external communication such as advertisements, public relations exercise, interviews
and press releases.
Future business managers have to develop effective written communication skills that will be
helpful in sharing information with their subordinates, in the preparation of research reports and
statutory documents and in the preparation of promotional materials for business development.
Managers can enhance the organisations image through effective written communication.
Hence, it is imperative for management graduates to develop writing skills along with verbal and
nonverbal communication skills, so as to become acceptable in the corporate world.

they can carry out official business activities with confidence. They need to know the correct
way of writing Emails, memorandums, official letters, research reports and proposals. This
comes by mastering the English language. Beyond developing strong vocabulary, students
should be able to express their ideas in unambiguous sentences, organised as meaningful
paragraphs. Besides they should also present information in conventionally practiced ways.
