SYNOPSIS
This course introduces topics on the different kinds of heat transfer i.e. conduction,
convection and radiation. Types and designs of heat exchangers which are important
to chemical process industries are included. In addition, the introduction on boiling
and condensation is also discussed.

3.0

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1.
Ability to explain the theories and basic principles of heat transfer
2.
Ability to solve problem related to heat transfer by applying the theories or basic
3.

principles of heat transfer.

Ability to solve real case study problem and relate it to the principles of heat transfer.
