Clintonville board

Four people have filed

as candidates for the Clintonville School Board in the
April election. The deadline for filing the required
forms is 5 p.m. Jan. 5.
The terms of Dirk Weber and Judith Magee are
up for election. Weber is
seeking his sixth threeyear term while Magee
will not seek another term.

Besides Weber, candidates include Lori Jean

Poppe, Mark Zachow and
Samantha Oxment.
Election packets are

A Keshena woman is
facing a felony charge
of burglary for allegedly
breaking into a cabin in
the town of Hutchins in
August.
Cheryl C. Miller, 24,
could face a maximum 12
1/2 years in prison and a
$25,000 fine if found guilty.
She is accused of breaking into the cabin sometime between Aug. 31 and
Sept. 1 and stealing a TV,
deer mounts and other
items, according to the
criminal complaint. She is
also charged with a misdemeanor count of theft.
Miller is due in court
for an initial appearance
on Jan. 4.

shed burglaries

A Kewaunee man has

been charged with two felony counts of burglary for
allegedly breaking into a
tool shed on two occasions
in December 2014.
Daniel W. Melnarik, 38,
could face a maximum of
12 years in prison and a
$25,000 fine on each count
if found guilty.
Melnarik is accused of
breaking into a tool shed
on in the town of Angelica
on Dec. 11, 2014, and Dec.
16, 2014, and stealing various items.
The items were recovered at a pawn shop, according to the criminal
complaint.
Melnarik is due in court
for an initial appearance
on Jan. 4.

JOANNE D. RADIES, 64, of the town of Wyoming,

passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle incident in the town of Seneca,
Shawano County. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home &
Crematory, Marion, is assisting her family.

Marion woman dies

in Christmas Eve crash
Authorities have released the
name of the 64-year-old Marion
woman who died as a result of a
Christmas Eve crash in the town of
Seneca.
Joanne Radies was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by
her husband, Ronald Radies, 66,
that was attempting to cross state
Highway 29 at County Road D just
before 6 p.m. Thursday. Their car
was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Highway 29 being driven by
Ryan Neuman, 33, of De Pere.
Joanne Radies was pronounced
dead at the scene, according to the
Shawano County Sheriff s Department.
The two drivers were treated
for injuries sustained in the crash.
There was no update on their

conditions Monday morning. The

crash is still being investigated.

Driver flees crash,

is caught later
Shawano County sheriff s deputies responded to a crash on Deer
Drive near Green Valley Road in
the town of Angelica on Saturday.
A younger male was driving
recklessly, struck a electrical pole
and fled the scene, the sheriff s department said.
He was later identified and confessed to the incident, according to
the sheriff s department.
The incident was one of 88 sheriff s deputies logged over the threeday holiday weekend, including disturbances in the towns of Navarino,
Red Springs and Angelica; property theft complaints in Gresham,
town of Wescott and town of Aniwa;
juvenile alcohol complaints in the

towns of Wescott and Richmond;

fire at a feed shed in the town of
Maple Grove; a vehicle fire in the
town of Morris; and 17 accidents,
including injury accidents in the
towns of Morris and Angelica, and
four deer-related crashes.
Shawano police logged 43 incidents Friday through Sunday, including a fraud investigation in the
900 block of South Cleveland Street;
a report of an attempted burglary
in the 1100 block of South Cleveland Street; an assault reported in
the 100 block of South Main Street;
a shoplifting complaint at Walmart,
1244 E. Green Bay St.; a drug complaint in the 500 block of Prospect
Circle; a citation for operating after
revocation at Franklin and Green
Bay streets; and intoxicated person complaints in the 700 block of
South River Street and 600 block of
East Green Bay Street.

Packaging Position:
