Course objectives
To provide exposure to the various dimension of architectural practice
To prepare working drawing, detailing ,architectural model
To train in computer applications in design and drafting, filing system of documents and drawings
To supervise the construction activities checking bills and management
To develop contact with Builders, clients and planning authorities as required for professionalism
Course Content
Preparation of working drawings and details
Preparation of architectural models
Acquire knowledge of computer skills for drafting, design, 3D view etc
Understand how an office functions
Through site visits gains practical knowledge and solve problems that arise during construction at site
Partially deals with clients, discuss with fellow architects and main architect etc for practical
exposure
Critical analysis of an Architect Designed building presented with a portfolio
Study of unique and important building material, its usage in practice, comparison with other similar
materials etc
Course outcomes: Student will be able to
Acquire knowledge of professional practice as per the demand of industry
Gain confidence in Designing and detailing of architectural design and construction
Have skills to start their own independent practice, get clients and works to start of profession
with zeal.
Note: Students should work under a registered architect and the registered architect should
sign in the certificate with registration number.
