Institution/ Community: Crossroads Rehabilitation Center for Adolescents

The program believes that a positive and uplifting environment is vital to successful healing and recovery for an
adolescent undergoing a drug and/or alcohol treatment programme. Patients can take benefit of a crowd of activities that
are challenging, interesting, educational, and just plain fun. Our approach is holistic, so every individual has an
opportunity to participate in an activity of choice.

Of all human activities, creativity comes
Emotional
closest to providing the fulfillment we all hope
to get in our lives. Robert Sternberg
emphasized the importance of creativity into
ones intelligence and emotions. Creativity
molds our intelligence to call upon existing
knowledge and skills to effectively handle
new and unusual situations. People with high
creative intelligence have great insight,
imagination, and are able to formulate new
ideas. Secondly, it also hones peoples
emotional stability. When we're creative, we
feel we are living more fully than others.
Emotional responses are often regarded as
the keystone to experiencing art, and the
creation of an emotional experience has
been argued as the purpose of artistic
expression
