About Persahabatan General Hospital

Persahabatan General Hospital is one of the vertical hospital of Technical
Implementation Unit (UPT) under the Ministry of Health with the financial
management of Public Service Agency (BLU) with A class education. Built in 1961
that is the Russian government help and delivered officially on 7 November 1963.
Persahabatan General Hospital has gone through six periods of development, there
are: the first period, Persahabatan General Hospital be Satellite hospital of Dr. Cipto
Mangunkusumo General Hospital. The second period, Persahabatan General
Hospital becomes independent hospitals and be general hospitals class B in East
Jakarta, also become the national referral center for pulmonary disease. The third
period, Persahabatan General Hospital set as self-financing hospital on 2 September
1992 and in 1997 received full accreditation for five activities through seven
standard hospital services. The fourth period, the Persahabatan General Hospital
becomes service companies in 2002. The fifth period is characterized by
Persahabatan General Hospital became Unit Technical Implementation in the
Ministry of Health with the pattern of financial management is the Firm Public
Service Board (BLU) in 2005.
In the sixth period, precisely on March 3, 2011, increasing in classes and functions
Persahabatan General Hospital into A classes and Persahabatan General Hospital
approved as a teaching hospital with specialization in the field of Pulmonology and
have through the process of accreditation 16 years of service in 2011. This is not
only the recognition and appreciation of the ability of health services given to
Persahabatan General Hospital but also an increase in the burden of responsibility
to society, always be able to provide the highest level of health services in the level
of the class Referral Hospital in Indonesia.

As a national referral respiration hospital, Persahabatan General Hospital continue
to develop the quality of services and facilities in the field of medical and medical

Persahabatan General Hospital is currently developing four excellent programs

1. Institute of Respiratory Diseases. According with its vision as a center of
excellence that provide and develop services, education, and research in the field of
national respiration world class environmentally friendly (Green Environment). This
institution will be a respiratory health research centers and scientific and
educational center with an integrated approach to the field of respiratory health,
which facilitate and implement various levels of education in the field of respiratory
health and produce scientists and practitioners in the field of respiratory health.
2. Integrated Respiratory Diagnostics Center includes an integrated diagnostic
services and integrated respiration, either invasive or noninvasive.

3. Integrated Cardio Respiratory Center includes an integrated service centers for

lung transplantation.
4. Respiratory Infections Diseases, in particular in dealing with specific cases of lung
infection (Emerging and reemerging Respiratory Diseases), such as Avian Influenza,
MDR-XDRTB, and TB-HIV.
