What an amazing week of services at FBC! I want to
say thanks to Jacob, the accompanists, and the
Sanctuary Choir for all their work on the Good
Friday service. It was absolutely beautiful. Thanks
also goes to Brandon and Bridgette Haile for hosting
our Sunrise service Sunday morning. It was a little
overcast, but still a great morning of celebrating the
first light of Easter. Our Easter service Sunday
morning was powerful with wonderful music and
attendance. Thank you for making Easter 2010 truly
a ‘revival’ type of experience.
I got the opportunity to visit the Dolloffs this past
week as they welcomed their daughter CYDNEY
ELISE into the world! We are thankful for this
family and I encourage us to do all we can as a
church family to support them. I’m excited for
Cydney because I know she will be raised in a
Christian home and have all of you to point her to
Jesus.
Our family of faith lost a dear member this past
week. Holy week turned very tragic as JOHN
MORGAN was involved in an accident that took his
life. Many of you witnessed his baptism in our
Sanctuary a couple of years ago. John portrayed
Jesus in our Easter Pageant last year and did a
fantastic job. I will miss John – his smile and
laughter, his giftedness and passion for life. We pray
for all of those who were so close to John – his
brother Hoyt, Alathia, Stanley, Heather, Andy,
Maria, Jamie, Mark and Amanda – and a host of
others who are grieving over this loss. Even though
our hearts are bowed low and our sadness is difficult
to overcome, I know John is resting in the arms of
Jesus now and receiving his heavenly inheritance.
For those who call upon the name of the Lord,
separation from those lost will not last. The
temporary is nothing compared to eternity and that
is what we as Christians are promised and it is what
John is delighting in now. Pray for the family and
loved ones of John this week as we do our best as a
church to support them during this season of
mourning.

WORKDAY FOR TILLIE’S PLACE – Saturday,
April 17, is our date when the playground
equipment for ‘Tillie’s Place’ will be delivered.
We need 15 to 20 volunteers for that day to
work on installation. We will have a supervisor
from the company directing our work which will
take most of the day. If you are interested in
helping with this project, please contact
Bridgette Haile, Jenny Kneuper, or Betsy Killian.
We will have a dedication ceremony after the
morning worship on Sunday, April 25.
