Shakespeare
William Shakespeare (26 April 1564 23 April 1616) was an
English poet, playwright, and actor, widely regarded as the greatest
writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist.
He is often called England's national poet, and the "Bard of Avon".
His extant works, including collaborations, consist of approximately

38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few other
verses, some of uncertain authorship. His plays have been translated
into every major living language and are performed more often than
those of any other playwright.

2. Romeo and Juliet(1968)

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early


in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately
reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays
during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently
performed plays. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal young
lovers.

Set in the Kingdom of Denmark, the
play dramatises the revenge Prince Hamlet is
called to wreak upon his uncle, Claudius by the
ghost of Hamlet's father, King Hamlet. Claudius
had murdered his own brother and seized the

widow.

4. The Merchant of Venice(2004)

Venice,

Antonio (Irons) borrows money from Shylock to

Written and directed by Michael Radford (Il Postino, letters), Academy Award
nominee and winner of a BAFTA, The Merchant of Venice attracted a terrific
cast, most notably an appearance KNOW THE Al Pacino's Shylock in his role.
CONSIDERATIONS as one of the most prestigious entertainment industry
representatives, Pacino won countless awards for charming film from the trilogy
