3. QUESTIONS
Q1: Please describe your personal information related to yourself, your daily activity, your talent, etc. (300
words)
I am Achmad Juanzah, the oldest child in my family who have two brothers with 6 years age difference. I was
born in Surabaya but has been settled in Sidoarjo since I was 3rd grade in elementary school. Now Im
majoring mining Engineering in Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Republic of Indonesia. I come from a
middle income family which found a little hardship in pursuing undergraduate degree, Fortunately, there is
Bidik Misi scholarship which is provided by Ministry of Education to make it possible for me and another
carefully selected students all over Indonesia to pursuing higher education. Other then that, my
accomplishment during senior high school was considered by the ministry to grand me the scholarship until
now. My fathers name is Mr. Mudjiono, He worked for CV. Mikasa Raya Tunggal-Surabaya as private
employee. He was married my mother, Mrs. Parimiati who worked as pharmacy administrative staff in
Darmo Hospital-Surabaya. Their education background is Senior High School while my sister is now studying
at the 8th grade in one of junior high school.
I am now settled at one of student housing in Jalan Pelesiran alley Abah Sasmita number 92/56 Bandung as
temporary resident. My student housing atmosphere quite safe, friendly, and erudite. My student housing
quite near from campuss, it only takes 8 minutes by foot as I usually did everyday. I find no hardship to run

my learning activities both in campuss and student housing. I am actively engaged in social activities nearby
such as social service, folk performance, voluntary work, those activities succeed because of integrated
collaboration between student and society. For spiritual activities, I participated well in mosque specifically
in Muslim Community.

Back in high school, I was an active Deputy Chairman of Student Body. I also have special talent in traditional
dancing and article writing. I once represented my school to join one of prestigious traditional dance
competition and won the floor. In college, I devoted my self to help my parents financially by becoming Basic
Physic Laboratory Assistant, student motivation trainer, a ticketting committee of ITB integrated career day
without disregarding my passion in social activities such us joining social service community.

Q2: Why do you wish to take part in this 2nd IYFCamp? How would you contribute to its success? (150
words)
It all started when my lecturer taught me about everything in terms of mining and one exurcion I joined a
year ago, from their explanation about the prominence of mining industry, I have a huge passion to become
the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Republic of Indonesia and make a total difference in that
field. I want to build a better business atmosphere in mining industry which provides an open jobs and
competitive skills to get involved in international business in the future. Other than that, I also passionate
about community development, I have a big eagerness to enlarge my networking and share my perspective
with a lot of people. I have a serious commitment to follow the rules of the event and actively engaged to
build a good communication and share Indonesian pure culture and heritage especially one from my city
once I choosed as Indonesian delegate for International Youth Friendship Camp 2016. Furthermore, in
sharing time I wish there will be a better understanding among delegates to tackle all the problems which we
faced as an integrated community by our maturity.

Q3: How would you disseminate the outcomes of the program to other young people? Which relevant
networks can you make use of? (50 words)
Every knowledge that I got from this event. I will share to my friends via Wordpress blog and all social media
I had. Because wise men said that experience is the best teacher, and I want all people feel that experience
too. Then I can see the beauty and amazingness of culture diversity. I also want to learn a new languange to
boarden my discussion topics and of course enlarging my friendship networking throung cultural activities
held in Bali

Q4: Please specify the kind of commitment you are ready to make in order to advance program after 2014.

I would build my commitment to share my knowledge from group discussion. Then I would confound myself
for additional substance material about what I got once this event held. By continuously making simple
games when I condustct social service. Then to give education about AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in
community development. Because in Big data era where information is moving fast we have to accept that
internet is containing more information rather than television. Personally, I would love to make kind of this
event in other time. Otherwise, family environment is number one to enhance their capability. After that I
would share in society environment, social environment and campus environment.

4. Essay
In what ways do you think youth can be a driving force for action in education and learning in order to
accelerate progress towards sustainable development? (300 words)

Education for Sustainable Development consequently promotes competencies like critical thinking,
imagining future scenarios and making decisions in a collaborative way. (UNICEF)
Sustainable Development in Education related by subject who play inside directly or indirectly. Continuing
Education is a fundamental of the values what held by application step by step continuously. Supporting
aspects of education needed an increasing infrastructure development, facilities, achievement by open
scholarships, educational assistance, effectiveness of teaching and increasing the level professionalism
teachers work and salary adjusted. Based the number of Indonesia education rankings in ASEAN indicates
inequality and fall down. Mr. Muhammad Nuh Minister of Education of Indonesia has said that the ability
of the workforce in the education sector who prepared for the AEC to reach 30% of the 4.8 million people
age 19-24 years old. Acceleration progress in Indonesia education toward development in order handle and
compete another ASEAN country member. One way to reduce this problem Indonesia need the same
standard. Then open this way toward sustainable development could collaborate by improve technology into
holds crucial problem. MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) is an education system that is open course is
open has the purpose to allow the participation of unlimited and can be accessed via the web (e-learning).
The obstacle has solution are distance limitations could be overcome. Although MOOC have done in
developed countries. Indonesia since 2012 release a similar program called IndonesiaX could accessed by

indonesiax.co.id then many features offered include video reading, interactive discussion forum, access to
the interactive user like chatting between lectures, students and assistants. It also equipped with final
assessment, remedial and certificate. Sustainable education collaborates result continuously between
technology, education subject (stakeholder) and the regulation as control function. In order education could
be easy, cheap and equal. Furthermore, the education is giving out the same opportunity and guides subject
education to achieve the highest educational status with eligibility as a professional labor in their field, then
get international recognition and master information technology to face the global world competition.
