Value Engineering
We offer Value Engineering Services which help our Clients get maximum value for their investments. We
have carried out Value Engineering studies on a number of projects in Pakistan enabling Clients to make
substantial savings in cost.

1. Mabarak Center, Lahore

A complex of multi-storied buildings (up to 900 ft. high) with a gross built up area of 7,000,000 sq. ft.
Noor Durrani and Associates were commissioned (in association with ADGI, USA to carry out Peer
Review and Value engineering for the Foundation Piling Package which originally comprised of about
2500 bored cast in situ piles 1200mm diameter and 40 meter long. The Value Engineering exercise
resulted in a saving of approximately PKR 1 Billion to the client.

2. 18 MW Century Paper Coal Based Co-Generation Power Plant

NDA carried out complete Civil/Structural Design/Review and Value Engineering and prepared
Construction Drawings for the 18 MW Coal Based Power Plant Project. The Value Engineering
exercise resulted in the removal of 200 Foundation Piles and a cost saving of approximately PKR 70
Million to the Client.

3. 2x45T/h +1xN 3MWCoal Fired Boiler and Steam Turbine, ICI Soda Ash
NDA was hired to provide complete Design/Review and Value Engineering of Civil Structural Works
including Coal Fired Boiler and Steam Turbine Foundations and Pedestal, Platforms & Equipments
Foundations, Steel Storage Tank Foundations, and related Infrastructure Works. The Value
Engineering exercise resulted in removal of all Foundation Piles.

4. 18 MW ICI Soda Ash Coal Based Power Plant, Khwera

NDA carried out complete Civil/Structural Design/Review and Value Engineering and prepared
Construction Drawings for the 18 MW Coal Based Power Plant Project. The Value Engineering
exercise resulted in a saving of about PKR 25 Million to the Client.

5. Pace Barka, Lahore

This is a nineteen storied (including four basements) commercial building with a built-up area of
1,500,000 sq. ft. The Value Engineering exercise is expected to save approximately PKR 100 Million
to the client (Pace Pakistan Ltd.).

6. Mall of Multan, Multan

This is an eight (8) storied commercial building with a built-up area of 200,000 sq. ft. The Value
Engineering exercise is expected to save approximately PKR 20 Million to the client (AAM
Developers).

7. Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) Head Office Building, Rawalpindi

This is a fourteen (14) storied (including two basements) commercial building. NDA carried out Peer
Review and Value Engineering for the Structural Design.
