Then, he dug his feet into Sinbads stomach to make him rise and carry him further. Day after

A few days later Sinbad found a bottle of wine. He drank the wine which gave him fresh
strength. Instead of dragging himself wearily along, Sinbad danced and sang. The old man, saw how

The Lake Isle of Innisfree
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made,
Nine-bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honey bee
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnights all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnets wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep hearts core.

They were generally ordering the men about, Clean the kawahs!,Buy this!, Fix the
curtains!, Mop the floor!, Erect the tents!, etc., etc. Jamal suddenly felt that these Kelantanese
ladies were really bossy and strident in their ways. He remembered how gentle his sister was before
she married, but after that, wow! His poor brother-in-law couldnt get a word in edgewise. He could
not, however, imagine his sweet, demure, little darling would ever be like that.
In the final preparations, he was asked to fetch his wedding finery for a dress rehersal. Jamal,
exited to his toes, quickly responded. The womenfolk fussed around him arranging his songkok, his
selendang and even the buttons on his baju gombang. Everybody agreed the final result was superb.
The pale gold baju gelombang suited his colour perfectly. His height made the suit hang on him so well
and his selendang was of the right tone. Compliments abound.
Finally, his sister asked him, Wherere your shoes, Jamal? You couldnt very well go up on the
pemajangan with no shoes on. Ah, hang on a minute what about your nice Bally shoes? Go and
fetch them.
